Well this might be goodbye for now

Just got out my laptop to trudge my favorite websites, and I wandered on over to Joystiq. Abd whaddya know? Latest blog; Halo 3 ending leaked!! So now I'm panicked because its a mere week to the game comes out, but a week and a half till I get to jump into the single player campaign. So this just might be my last foray onto the internets just to save myself. Maybe I'll set 2old2play as my homepage and only go there for my news and such...is anyone else being tormented like this?

Halo 2 updaticity

Well, a temporary setback this weekend; I drank too much saturday and didn't have the ability to play any saturday, but I rebounded by finishing a couple of levels today-Arbiter and Oracle. These are two of my lesser favorite levels in the halo universe for 2 reasons. 1-Not playing as Master Chief...I know that its part of the story and part of the magic that is halo 2, but I paid $50 to play as the chief and I wanna play as the chief. Reason 2-Flood. I effin hate the flood.

Now one of my favorite things...battles that are just too difficult to get through, you can usually just run past. Admittidly, I try not to do that, I wanna fight the fight and all that crap but sometimes when I'm just getting pummeled, its a helluva lot easier just to turn on active camo and jump past the fights and on to the next room/checkpoint. Anyone else?

Ughhh

"Hop in the City" beer festival put on by Schlaflys brewery was yesterday. While I don't feel too bad now (notice I'm up blogging at 7 am my time) last night was a different story. The frustrating part...I didn't really drink too much, in fact, stopping about an hour or so before everybody else, but I ended up getting pretty sick once I was home, about 3 1/2 hours later.

So my whole evening was ruined, of which I had planned to do a level of halo 2, but now its pushed back to today which I don't have a lot of time for. So we'll see how this works out.

Halo 3 delayed!!!!!

Well not really, its still coming out on the 25th. But as for me, it might as well be delayed. I'm pissed, I'm pissed, and I'm pissed. Me and 2 other buds have Halo traditions dating back to the Pillar of Autumn so we were all pretty pumped up for Halo 3. It comes out on a tuesday but due to professional and personal commitments, we all decided to wait till friday evening and play straight through. Boo-yah!

Now for the aggravating part, one of my guys, lets call him Murphy, cannot come. Why? because his dad booked a condo for the weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks. First and foremost, family comes before halo 3, so I get it, but it still frustrates me. So now consensus is, we wait until the weekend after...which is in october. So now I have to wait 11 days to play the campaign instead of 4. How the heck am I supposed to avoid spoilers??!

So for now, I'm planning on playing with Forge, multiplayer (only with people who understand NOT to spoil the campaign for me) Yeah this is gonna work....

Halo 2 update

Today's date is September 13th, twelve days until Halo 3 launches. My plan has been to make september "Halo month" and go back and play halo and halo 2. Last Saturday, I finished Halo and this week I have promptly dug into Halo 2. The differences between the 2 games are remarkable, really. The addition of "dual-weilding" changes the game completely. But I am quickly finding out that running with 2 guns is not always the best option...

On with the update...I'm approximately half-way through "Metropolis." I really haven't had too much trouble so far (Not nearly as bad as the first level) but still have half to go so...according to my calculations, I should finish Halo 2 on the 24th. Perfect.

Well its friday..not technically

Yeah its still Thursday, but professionally speaking, its friday! This weekend has got what it takes to be awesome. Friday night starts out with dinner and 2 tickets to Cards vs Cubs. For those not in the know, this is baseball's best rivalry.

Saturday we are going back downtown to a local brewery called Schlafly, who is holding a festival called "Hop in the City". $25, all the beer you can drink. Last year I got trashed, the year before I got trashed as well as the year before that. This year its gonna be cool mid-70's and I bet I will end up getting trashed. All's well.

Sunday is day at home, do some chores, watch some Formula 1, and get busy with some halo 2...speaking of which...its about time for an update...

The place is starting to come together...

Well I just finished putting together my banner pic above...it took me all of 4 minutes...paint workmanship at its finest, indeed. Just to answer a few questions I feel will be coming...

1-No its not me, not my kid (of which I dont have any), and in fact its not anybody i know or plan on ever meeting

2-No clue where they are, why they are, and what they planned on doing

3-yes, I'm actually creating a few different banner pics just to spice things up, but don't you worry, the overall theme of amateur-ish-ness will remain firmly intact.

4-feedback is welcome, but most likely will be ignored

70's, sunny, warm, I'm having pizza for dinner, new halo 3 video, life is good. Does anybody think I should pre-order Halo 3 or do you think I can just go into any ol' store and pick it up tuesday afternoon? I'm having a hard time making this decision.

Lets get this party started

I've never blogged before, but have always wanted to give er a try. The reality is, its a friggin lot of writing and I'm busy (read:lazy) and have other stuff to do (jerk-off). Having said that, I really wanted to keep up with this so I'm gonna work extra hard (half-ass it) to just update it at least twice a day (a month) with things that are happening in my life, not only with gaming, but with work, school, home, whatever. Its all game, Have a happy September 11th (what?!!) and see everybody refreshed and rejuvenated in the morning (hungover)
