Half A Mil'

Well I finally got the half a million achievement in GH3 last night. Thank you once again to Metallica's Suicide and Redemption. I Scored a whopping 508,000 and some change. Now to tackle the 750 k achievement...note to self that it's probably not going to happen....

Can't wait until GH:WT comes out, mainly for the new guitar hopefully it is even better than the current wireless one. I have a major issue with the neck slipping forward slightly and breaking the connection to the body causing missed notes. I threw some electrical tape in there to make the neck fit against the body tighter and it seems to be helping.

Hit the Showers!!!

For the love of god...it's 95 degrees out with 75% humidity. Please have the common courtesy for your fellow workers to take a flipping SHOWER!!! WITH SOAP I might add.

Yes, walking down the hall at work and get passed by another employee and nearly pass out from the olfactory equivalent of a Nuclear strike on a sewage plant. Don't people realize that they smell bad if they don't bathe? How could you not shower daily? I can't wake up without one. I know that different cultures have different habits but guess what, you're in the US, the majority of the populus have a shower with clean running water coming from the taps, please learn how to use this marvel of modern engineering to CLEAN YOUR NASTY SMELLING ASS.

I want that two hours of my life back!!

So last night I decided to watch a movie instead of gaming, figuring most people would be watching the NCAA Final. The movie? The Mist. The Mist is a chilling tale of complete idiots stuck in a small Maine town's local grocery store when a mysterious mist overtakes the town after an extreme electrical storm. Twas your typical Stephen King esque thriller with tension, bible thumpers, good guys, bad guys and lot's of people doing stupid things that if it was a real world situation no person of sound mind would do these things. It actually wasn't a bad movie, that is, until the end. I have rarely ever wanted to put my foot through my tv at the end of a movie until the last 5 minutes of The Mist. I won't spoil the movie for those of you who have not seen it but I will say the end of the movie was the most aggravating experience I have had while watching a movie, and I've seen tons of flicks that I absolutely hated.

Maybe I missed the point of the film, maybe I didn't. I realize that the story was more about the people and how people react to stressful/unknown situations but the end....I just can't get past it. I'm sure the film maker was looking for emotional reactions at the end but the emotion I felt may not have been what the director was looking for.

So for those of you that have seen this wonderful piece of cinematic artistry, what did you think??

Rant....

So, It's pretty obvious that I don't blog much...I usually don't have much to say. However, today I felt the need to vent a bit regarding some Bullshit drama. I'm not going to mention names and will speak in anonymous terms to protect all concerned.

So we all know that we're all bone heads and like to say stupid shit to each other in friendly ways,right? So me, being the infinite smartass with the droll sense of humor decides to post someones XBL gamercard that had some negative comments regarding a certain game we all know and love, actually, 2 games we all know and love. Said gamercard mentioned how shitty one game was and how the other is MUCH better on a different platform (note: why someone would go through the trouble of specifiacally badmouthing games on their Xbox live account is beyond me). Now, since this person has always been highly outspoken about his dislke of playing these two titles on the 360 I decided to bust his chops a bit...It didn't go so well. So now said person has blown up his XBL friends list, quit the clan and said not a single word since, no explanation, no "hey you all suck and can go fuck yourselves"...nothing... I can't figure out how someone that you would consider a friend for nearly a year can't take a little ribbing from his so called buddies especially since he was so good at dishing it out to everyone else, yet we all took it in stride as typical horse shitting around.

This occurrence gets my WTF? award for the month.

God I hate drama.....

RB6:V DLC Finally??

Well, no shit... to use a quote from one of my all time favorite movies. It's about time. Or will they find another excuse to delay it again? Being the eternal pessemist I will wait and believe it when I see it available for download.

Now the positive side of it. I can't wait to try out the new content. The nice part is that there will be a learning curve for everyone so maybe, just maybe I might get a chance to earn some of the more elusive online achievements.

Speaking of achievements, these things are like crack to me. Hi, my name is Corbin and I'm an achievement points whore. Maybe they will come up with a 12 step program for others like me to kick the habit. I find myself playing crappy games just to do nothing but try to get the points. Is it wrong???

Well...first entry

First things first. 2o2p is by far the best website I've come across. I thank the creators of this website for their dedication and service to all of us "older" gamers. My second thanks goes to all the members of 2old4headshots, they have made online gaming fun again. So, this is my first blog post and unfortunately I don't have much to say or rant about. But the time will come when I feel the need to vent and will carry on like a blithering idiot to try and prove a point. So, patience my friends, if you build it they will come...
