Ever get bored with a class?

At the moment I have three alliance paladins. While I enjoy having the abilities of a paladin at my disposal, to level up more than one of the three is really going to be a drag. I'm thinking of starting an alt to freshen things up a bit. Preferably an alt that does not have a holy or restoration talent tree available to them (not that there is anything wrong with healing). I guess there just comes a time in a persons life where they need to be able to accomplish kills in a more timely fashion.

I need an executioner... a harbinger of death.

Im a happy boy

Two good things happened tonight.

I got hooked up with the 2o2p group in WoW again tonight. I'm rather glad that I got the chance to. Shortly after getting invited I got tells from a few folks that knew me from previously and it was good to touch bases. I hope you all get to see enough of me around again. After getting situated I went out to work on gearing up. Since I had blown all my coin upgrading Augrym's skills to the "master" level I couldn't browse the auctions for a quick fix on duds, so I was stuck questing. I didn't even get a chance to finish my first quest when I got an invite to a pug for Ramparts, a five man instance. Needless to say, I am now sporting a Light-Touched Breastplate (part of a set thats a pain in the butt to get).

Also, congrats to the Kara raiders on their successes. Im not sure if you made new ground or not, but downing bosses and getting loot is always a plus. Good job guys!

I am stunned.

Wow. Blindsided is the best way I can describe it.

While its true I havent been the most active of sorts when it comes to World of Warcraft recently, it seems as though the drama level was kicked up to max of recent. First I see most of the original group that I remember from Helter Skelter has broken off of OSL 101 into a new guild, then the next day I log back in and it looks like OSL is being banned from 2o2p!

Geez, what happened to my family? Where is the relaxed atmosphere I was enjoying before this mix up? I feel like a kid whose parents are going through a divorce, sucks to see it happen.

I guess its time for a quick change of venue until things settle. Im moving Roell back to Stormscale so I can get to 70 with a group I know I can be comfortable with and that will still be there come tomorrow. Augrym is up in the air,  I might pull him from guild and just leave him tagless for now. He'll probably be backup to Roell in reaching 70. Maybe I'll go back to levelling Agonar... he's still in Helter Skelter. At least thats a tabard that I can still be proud to wear.

Thanks guys, I am so glad to be here.

Last night might have seemed pretty uneventful to some of the crew in OSL101, but it was a night to remember for me.

As I am sure most of the OSL'ers have noticed, I am not new to the raiding community. Roell had a long history of being one of the senior paladins for a very prominent guild on another server. As we didnt have a bountiful selection of healers, it was expected that any healing support class go full healing and be available as often as possible to help the guild progress. Although there weren't any set penalties for missing a run or showing up late, the 39 other people on the run would certainly voice their "concerns" to you if you did not make the set time. The atmosphere there was very competitive and demanding, but the rewards made up for it for a while. After the guild had finally moved Blackwing Lair onto farm status, I was burned out. The guild was ready to move onto Naxxramas, but I needed a break. It was during this time that I had originally found Helter Skelter on Agamaggan and joined ranks. I knew that the outlook with the guild was to start a raiding schedule, but the atmosphere was much more relaxed than the other guild I was with. I made the decision to check out my options with a few other places before making the decision of what to do with Roell, but I never found anything that clicked as well as Helter Skelter.

When I first transferred Roell to Agamaggan and began walking through Ironforge, I started receiving tells from a few people inviting me to check out raiding guilds or sign up on websites to join their group. There were promises of weekly Naxx runs and guaranteed tier 3 loot, but I really wasn't interested. Roell would be joining Augrym (my other character) in the ranks of the now Orc Splitters Local 101 or be parked until the expansion. Thankfully I got a guild invite before the throngs of potential GM's had a chance to spam me requests to sign their guild charter. Once I had the guild tags in place, the same people that messaged me earlier were now asking me why I had joined ranks with a guild that was subpar in terms of PVE progression. I replied to those tells with a message that I knew what I was doing, although to be honest I was still rather unsure of it. I held hope that my confidence in that remark would be bolstered at some point, I just didnt know when.

Fast forward to last night... I had signed up previously for the Zul'Gurub run that the guild had scheduled and I was looking forward to it as Im still working on getting my rep up with Zandalar as well as my dkp. My day was going great until I was about to commute home. I had received about 3 messages on my cell in relation to errands I had started earlier in the day. To be on the safe side I had to take care of "life" and make sure I got everything squared away before heading home. When everything was finally situated enough for me to log in, the clock was telling me I was late. I knew that the raid had already started and I was prepared to take the abuse that was so familiar to me from my previous experiences with Roell's former raiding guild.

As the screen came up and showed me in Ironforge I was hit with an instant request to join the raid group. I did so, and waited to see the remarks in raid chat about me running behind schedule... but nothing came up. I signed into ventrillo ready to hear "I blame Roell for that wipe", but instead I was welcomed in. I expected to have to run Roell down to STV to join up with the group, but I was instead summoned directly to the gates of ZG... something that surely would have never happened with my previous guild. Once I met up with everyone in game, we progressed through Mandokir on a short group (with no priests!) and did an attempt on the spider boss after losing more members but fell short from downing that boss. Focusing on running with the group without the badgering that I would have received from my former guild allowed me to relax and enjoy my time spent online last night... that really meant a lot to me.

Other guilds might be bigger out there and might have progressed further into PVE. They might also have deeper rosters and be able to have enough people online during the day to run a 20 and a 40 man raid at once. Those guilds might also promise the best epic drops, or boast of the highest popularity on the server forum. All of that really doesn't mean that much to me... I know I brought Roell to the right place.
