I was bored and thought I might put together a short list (top 5) of movies you should probably at least watch the trailer for.. 

I'll give you my top 5 .. starting with with #5 being better than #1..

#5: Defiance - Three Jewish brothers escape from Nazi-occupied Poland into the Belarussian forest, where they join Russian resistance fighters and endeavor to build a village in order to protect themselves and others in danger.

Blizzard to hit Fargo

‘Life-threatening’ storm eyeing Fargo

A major winter storm moving into the Red River Valley this weekend will likely drop at least 7 to 8 inches and possibly a foot or more of snow on the Fargo area and will create dangerous driving conditions, the National Weather Service said. 

“While the exact track and evolution of this storm is still somewhat uncertain, it appears likely that the region will experience a potentially life-threatening storm Saturday night through Sunday night,” the weather service office in Grand Forks said in a special statement Thursday.

The powerful storm system will develop in the Central Plains on Saturday and track into the Northern Plains on Sunday, the weather service said. Snow is likely across all of eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota.

The snowfall in eastern North Dakota is expected to start late Saturday afternoon and last through about 6 a.m. Monday morning, said weather service meteorologist Pete Speicher.

Strong northerly winds may gust to more than 40 mph on Sunday.

“There’s a good possibility, Sunday especially, of blizzard-like conditions,” he said.

The Grand Forks area will likely see double-digit snowfall amounts, Speicher said.

Other isolated areas in the region may also get more than a foot of snow, but it’s too early to say which areas will be hit harder, said Chauncy Schultz, a forecast planner for the weather service.

Roads may become drifted shut, and travel may become impossible late Saturday night through Sunday, the weather service said.

Temperatures will also fall well below zero by Sunday night, with dangerous wind chills from 25 to 45 below.

Partly cloudy skies are predicted Monday and Tuesday will be sunny, according to the weather service, but high temperatures on Monday will remain below zero, Schultz said.

 

This should be a fun weekend... NOT

I will have to stock up on beer and frozen pizza's and get ready for some gaming!!!

So I was at work and the chick next to me said that Victoria Secrets had a $5 million bra.. WTF.. this thing is nice and her boobs are rocking.. but $5 million>?? JEBUS!

NFC North playoff scenarios

1. Chicago loses to New Orleans on Thursday night. Minnesota wins at Arizona. Green Bay wins or loses at Jacksonville. Vikings win division. Packers eliminated from playoffs. Bears barely alive for a wild-card berth. From the best we can tell, the Bears would need 14 games around the league to fall their way in order to eventually make the playoffs as a 9-7 wild-card team.

2. Chicago wins. Minnesota wins. Green Bay wins or loses. Packers eliminated from playoffs. Vikings and Bears alive for division title and wild-card.

3. Chicago wins. Minnesota loses. Green Bay wins. Vikings and Bears tied for division lead. Everyone remains alive. (Ultimately, Vikings would win a tiebreaker with the Bears if both teams finish 9-7.)

4. Chicago loses. Minnesota loses. Green Bay loses. Packers eliminated. Bears need to win final two games and have Vikings lose final two in order to win division.

Ready Set... DODGEBALL!!

This weekend I participated in a dodgeball tournament put on by the local raido station and the parks & rec dept of Faro ND.

What a awesome time!  We had 3 "for sure" games that would determine if we got into the semi finals. 

1st game- We play best of 5 and we lost 3-2.  We only lost because the judge was sitting his ass behind the scoring bench and didnt pay attention to the game.  We had to call all the rules and fouls ect.  Most teams didnt know the rules (inculding ours) so that made it more difficult.  On our 5th game 2 dudes stepped out of bounds and then came back in and the judge didnt see it and a guy from our team said that those 2 were out but they argued with us and didnt go out.  The ref said he didnt see it so play on.  We played on and lost.  It happens I understand that, but this dude on our team got so pissed he kicked chairs and cursed up and down and just quit the team right there.  So that left us with 5 of 6 players the rest of the matches we had.

2nd game- We won pretty convencingly 3-1.

3rd game- We won 3-2 and made it to semi finals with the win.

Semi-finals- We lose 3-0.  The opposing team was just a bunch of asshats and were not the greatest team but we were just completely tired by then anyways.

DODGEBALL is a freaking difficult sport to play if you are not in shape.  I was so sore sunday that I could barely move all day.  It was misserable to sleep.  Today I am sore to walk and my entire right arm can barely pick anything up. lol

I also found out that they are creating a dodgeball league here in Fargo so I plan on signing up.  Should be fun.
