Human Stupidity

How can we tell a customer that she should rethink her life, get the fuck out of mine and never touch a computer for the rest of her life because she's too stupid to be near one?

She's having a problem paying an invoice through my system. I give her all the steps she needs to do to get the exact reason of the error and she comes back to me with a completely different reason (proven by print screen) and she ask me to investigate the problem.

There's nothing to investigate!!! If you're too stupid to follow my instructions and check at the right place, I won,t go sit at your desk and do it for you. For example, my explanations for her were: step 1: Enter the program, step 2: Click on this menu, step 3: select that option and this screen will appear......... is there something complicated in following this?!?!?

I think I need a beer or a drink but it's just 9:15.

Job application

How long are you ready to wait in order to get the job/career you want?

For me, the waiting timer is at 19 months, yeah you read correctly, I written months and not days or weeks. OK, once I'll be there, it will be my last job of my life becasue I plan to work 25-30 years for them in order to retire at 65.

In February 2007, I started the recruiting process of the RCMP and now, about 15 steps later, I can say that I'm at the very last step before going to the 6 month training in Regina (Saskatchewan). I had an information session last Friday about life at Regina during the training, it was amazing I can't wait to be there. The person there told us that the big majority of people were almost freaking out in the first 3 weeks and if they would offer a trip back home, most would take it after 3 days there. The days starts at 5:30 and you're occupied until 22:30. As I told the recruiting offcer, I'm not worried about being at Regina because I've been in dorms in high school, I left my home to go live in France after applying for a job there. I'm worried about getting to Regina because I still don't know if I'm accepted and I'll know it only when I'll have the call saying that I'll leave at a certain date (they generaly give us a month notice). Until then, I have a shit load of things to read and learn by hearth and some shopping to do.

What's hard in my situation is that I can't start anything because the call could come in anytime now. My GF and I broke up last December and I didn't try to meet someone, I would like to take resume the dancing lessons, get in a badminton club, take ski lessons and a whole lot of other activities but I can't decide myself because I don,t want to start something and drop it afterwards.

Anyway, if I get the call, I'll be the happiest man on Earth, if not, I'll just be a more patient man....and desperate because I'm so bored of my actual job, there's no word to describe it.

Ding dong the bitch is gone...

OK, OK, she was not always a bitch but she's gone of my life anyway.

We broke up last December but were still staying in the same house until we could sell it and it's finally done. I put the sign "Sold" last week and moved out of the house last Saturday. She'll stay in the house until the buyers moves in at December 1st.

Being out of the house is a relief, she's with her 4th boyfriend since we broke up and even if he's nice, I don,t give a fuck of him and was tired of beng in my room for all evening because she was in the house with him. I made a final tour of the house saturday night and it was wierd. I was seeing the house I lived in for more than a year and it was not my home anymore, like a stranger that sees a place that seems familiar but doesn't belong there.

Anyway, it's finally behind me and I can start all over again.

My house is sold

YYYEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!

At last!!! it's been 5 months since the date we (my ex & I) decided sell the house and finally it's done. OK, there still is 2 conditions left: the financement & the inpection but it should be small details. The occupation date is December 1st, I can't wait to be there.

Ciao bye south shore of Montreal, hello north shore . yeah, Montreal is on an island and both shores (north & south) are very different for us.

Post-LAN

Ah well, the LAN is over

Since I arrived, it's almost my only subject of conversation, well that & Rock Band because I fell in love with that game. I arrived home at 2am and could not resist the temptation of opening the Rock Band box and play a few songs (I went to bed past 4am and was working at 7h30). So guys, if you need me in WoW, check on the XBox, there's a good chance that I'm playing RockBand.

It was my first LAN and certainly not my last one. I really enjoyed it, too bad it doesn't last a week. It was interresting to put some faces over the voices that we hear every week in ventrilo and meeting new people there. Too all of you, if you come near Montreal, tell me and we'll arrage something.
