Ooooooh, iz pretti

 In the past couple of months I have picked up a new computer with a 22" widescreen flatpanel monitor, a PS3, and a soundbar for the monitor. Since the monitor is hooked up to the video card with DVI, I'm able to link the PS3 with HDMI to HDMI  and I must say it looks mahvelous! As soon as the backordered bluetooth headset comes in I can go online for some multiplayer action. (with what I don't know yet) And that stupid two foot usb cable for the controller is no longer an issue.
 New poster for The Dark Knight is out and looks awesome. (can't believe I'm still using that word)

Interesting evening indeed

 So I'm at work walking from the back of the warehouse to the office when i see one of my employees coming out of the bathroom, shirt off, wiping himself with paper towels. Huh? Everyone's on lunch. Then I notice the blood on his hands and on his jacket hanging on the bathroom door. WTF! He tells me that he was walking up to Tim Hortons for lunch and he sees this guy beating on a girl in the parking lot. He steps up and tells the guy "that'll be enough of that". The tough guy turns and tells him to fuck off and mind his own business. Not fucking likely and proceeds to lay a beating on this tool. Then he has to book it back to work because he's on probation. The real shit part is he lost his wedding ring during the scuffle. Nothing like the local coffee shop after last call.
 On a happier note, my nephew had his first football practice yesterday. He's 10. And a bit of a runt for his age. I'm keeping my fingers crossed he got more of my sister's genes than his father's(who is also kinda short) and he'll shoot up like a bad weed at some point. Here's a couple of pics. I'm looking forward to my sister recording his games so I can have a good chuckle at all the little billygoats running around knocking the snot out of each other.

Holy Shit!!!!

So the 360 goes RROD on Friday morning. I phone 4MYXBOX and after speaking less than 10 minutes with a pleasant lady with no detectable accent, the process is underway. This is the sequence so far...
Mar 24...receive email-Thank you for contacting Xbox Customer Support! We are processing your request to repair your console. In the meantime, please read the IMPORTANT information below: blah, blah, blah
Mar 25...Purolator delivers coffin. 360 goes into coffin and I drop it off at the Purolator terminal.
Mar 26... receive email-Good news, we have received your Xbox console at our Service Center. Blah, blah, blah
Mar 27...receive email-Great news, your Xbox console has been shipped and is on its way back to you! Blah, blah, blah

If Purolator delivers a 360 tomorrow, I may have to go out and buy a whack load of lottery tickets.
(Or maybe the process is really streamlined now because they've had so much practice at it)

Edit: I'll be heading to the lottery terminal now. A 360 was just delivered by courier. It's not even noon. From to in less than a week.

Open up and say aahh!

 I got this email from my sister and after checking the story out at Snopes I found the photos to be real but not the story. It's a rock python in Angola and it had just wolfed down an impala. Trying to get away, it didn't quite make it.
 How would you like to go out into your backyard in the morning and find this at your fenceline.
