In other news...

Yesterday was the 1st annual Turkey Olympics at my work & we had a pretty good time..
The events consisted of two-person teams first doing a 3-mile "turkey trot", eating a half-pound of stuffing & two pints of eggnog, doing two small laps with a cup of gravy & not spilling, a turkey "dumbbell press", peeling 4 potatoes & then finally crossing the finish line.

Hector & I made up the team, 'Dingo & The Baby', and we came in 4th place out of about 50 teams.
not too shabby & a shit ton of fun.

i think the stuffing/eggnog tent almost made us puke our insides out but we held it down.

I brought home a free turkey & some goodies.

 

Last night was the first practice of my clan's Gears of War ladder team & I'm not too sure how it went.
It was my second time playing & since I don't really know the maps or weapon placement, I was easily the worst
person on the team, and for some reason, it seemed as if more criticism was dealt rather than helpful assistance.

I dunno.

The weekend is upon me since I had a halfday today & I'm in the mood for much red bull & vodka, followed by 4 days in a chrome thong & dark sunglasses wondering why there's 3 inches of dirty water & a dead pelican in my living room.

sike. hahaa... i was actually writing about bein' happy and then it just got interesting when I imagined the movie 'Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas".

da Bears!

In the midst of the glorious 1985-1986 Chicago Bears, the Bears of today stomped yet another team on their road to victory.

With their only defeat coming from the notorious Miami Dolphins, a perfect season is already out of reach.
However Super Bowl rings are still close at grasp.

Can Chicago pull Grossman together for the final weeks of regular season?
Next week they can clinch the playoffs but will have to battle Tom Brady for the rights..

Unfortunately for the Pats, the Bears love the snow.
And that brisk New England winter air might be a little scary when Tom is glancing across at Brian Urlacher's frozen stare.


We're coming for ya Chowda' Heads...
and this time, the Boston Harbor won't be filled with tea, but rather the blood & tears of beaten Patriots.

Gears of What?

So I played my very own copy of Gears of War today & I must say that I'm very impressed.
I knew I couldn't expect a remake of Halo, no matter how much I may have craved it, but I'm happy that it's not.

It has a very arcade-y feel to it, simliar to those cop games where you need to press down the pedal to hide behind a box..
very tactical & un-Halo-esk.

nice.
now i gotta go answer the call of the wild she-beast.

i'm more & more impressed everyday by the people on this website..

I went from playing Halo2 thinking 99% of gamers were effin' punks with nothing better to do than talk shit to coming here & realizing there's a whole 'nother world of gamers like myself.

Woot!

Well I've been on 2o2p for about a month now & love it..
It's great to be involved with gamers my own age.  Soon after
becoming a member, I searched out for & joined a clan:  2old2playWEST

This is my first forum experience & it's addicting!!!
I've been making customized signatures for others & I think it's awesome
how the whole site works.
My 360 friend's list has grown & this coming Sunday will officially be
my first Halo 2 clanmatch ever.  We're all getting together around
9pm pst (after Monday Night Football) and gamin' out for a bit.
