Friday the 13th

Well happy shittin Friday the 13th to me, AGAIN!!!!

I'm not a superstitious man about anything EXCEPT for that dreaded day.  Every damn year somthing or many things go wrong.  To start yesterday off I was on my way to work and the radio in my truck just craps out deader than shit while I'm listening to Bob and Tom ( i get a real shitty mood if i don't start my day with some good laughs). Then I had to make these simple stainless steel parts that should have took my about a half an hour but noooooo they took me like 2 hours cause some stupid little thing kept throwing the measurement off which made me have to start all over and re-cut them. The rest of the day went so-so which started to make me really nervous.  Remeber that episode of Married with Children about the Bundy curse?  When a lot of good things happen in a row something REALLY bad is going to happen?  Yep..... that's me.

I punch out, hop into my stereoless truck and head for questar gas to drop off my monthly payment and as I pull up to the drop box I smell gas, BAD.  I thought " ah there's lots of trucks around here it's probably not mine".  I get about halfway home and stop at a stop sign and I can still smell it,  just fucking great.  I get home, pull in my parking spot, and get out to shut the door, ( you know how you get out and grab the door it kinda causes your body to look back?), that's when I see the trail of liquid gold that probably traces my path ALL the way back to work. I haven't looked at the gas gage yet to see how much I lost cause I don't really feel like breaking down into tears.  Do you have any idea how close I was to grabbing a roll of Bounty and a big jug and testing their actual worthiness??? 

Turned out to be the fuel pump. Oh i guess i should mention my truck is a 77 ford and the fuel pump is mounted to the engine block and when they fail they leak through a weep hole like a water pump does when it fails.  I went and got the part and replaced it this morning so I guess all is not lost but son of a bitch what hairy day.

2o2PLAY ROCKS

I would just like to give a big THANK YOU to Doodi and all the other mods for making this site possible.  Last night when I joined up with Boom to play the new maps for COD he happened to be playing with the peeps from 2o4 Duty, and I have to say that it was a freakin blast.  It was then that I realized if it wasn't for 2o2p i would never have gotten the opportunity to meet all these cool people that don't constantly feel the need to scream random shit into the mic.  That's not to say that some of you don't and then I wish later that you hadn't.   

  I'm in 2o4BS and Maniacal Marauders and i usually game with them and i used to be leery about jumping in to another lobbly with other 2o2p people but  after last night i now know that damn near everyone on this site is a freakin stud ( or an awsome gal for you ladies out there)  to game with.   Here's hoping to meet some more of you in my random xbox live encounters.   

Blogging first run

Well i've never wrote a blog before so what the hell, here I go.   I'm assuming this is like my own say what I want and if you don't like it tough?  j/k i usually try and keep the peace in all my dealings. 

I'm assuming there are many of you out there that deal with customers on a 1 on 1 basis or at least close.  My reason for bringing this up is that lately i'm getting so fed up with some of the dumbasses that i do work for that i damn near walked out the other day.  I should at least explain what a sheet metal fabricator does first.  You know how Rick on American Chopper will make  a gas tank for those bikes from scratch or if they can't find or buy a part that they need they will make it?  Well that's what I do except I don't usually get to make anything as cool as that. 

I get "customer made" blueprints and have to decipher their handwriting and what they are trying to make and then set about making their drawing come to life.  Sounds cool huh, and it probably would be except joe blow off the street doesn't have a effin clue about fabrication, which is fine with me,  but what pissed me off the other day was this guy got in my face when i told him we didn't have the right equipment to make what he wanted. 

I'm ranting but my whole point behind this blog was to ask.................  Am i the only who has 90% dumbass customer rate?
