Wait...what?

I just read about 2old4duty. This really sucks. I really love this clan and the people there so obviously I won't delete anyone off of my FL. I also will not leave 2old2play. This site opened the world of LIVE to me. This reminds me of my old Battlefield2 clan. First it divided then, they changed their name lastly it totally disintegrated. The copyright declarations sound serious and I hope that this was a just a big misunderstanding. I'm off to find some cardboard, a sharpie and write "looking for clan" on it.

To my 2o4d brothers, please don't quit cod4 or the site. Just wiat it out.

Gaming event in PR

Last Saturday morning I visit a local Gamestop to purchase Soul Calibur IV and I notice a flyer for an event called "GXF - Gaming Explosion Fest". The people behind this call themselves the Puerto Rico Association of Gamers. Its the first of its kind here. I am exited at the thought of more of these types of events taking place on the island. apart from the competition there is gonna be stuff for visitors and expos and demos. It's gonna be a  3-day event taking place August 22 - 24 and the competitions will be in 10 games: halo3, cod4, GH3, RB, GoW, Super Smash Bros, Soul Calibur IV, Fight Night Round 3, NBA 2K8 and Mario Kart - Wii. Sinse I am not able to go to this year's chi lan, I'll get my fix here and maybe schedule for '09.

Fianlly, I hope you guys have a ton of fun in at the LAN!

PS: Soul Calibur IV rocks, character creation is a blast, TOLS mode has nice variety and tag team style switching between characters. Yoda is a cheap lil bastard and The Apprentice is over-powered, but the rest of the game is fun.

Good News

Diabetes...

On December of '07 I was diagnosed as a type I diabetic. The situation was really out of control. At this time I was out on vacation in Texas visiting my sister. Her husband is a doctor in pediatrics and noticed me symptoms so I take a blood test. High. Get some lab test done. When i return home I immediately visit my doctor to present my lab results. Yada-yada shoot up insulin 2 times a day, get some other lab tests done after 2 weeks and then go back.

Today I had that follow-up visit, lab results were great, lost weight, good BP and my blood sugar level are way down compared to what i had them on December. Body's producing insulin again so now i'm type 2 and don't have to inject it. WOOT.

Back to normal

Its weird getting back to work after a week and a half. Last week and the beginning of this week I was away on a couple of Visual Studio workshops. Coming back to work today it feels weird like when you come back from vacation! First order of the day: collect pay check, then off to the HR department to present achievement certificates. It funny the way they say: "Microsoft Certificate of Achievement", I'm getting MS achs even without turning the console on -- Achievement Unlocked! LMAO.

Yay, I finally beat H3 on legendary over the weekend thanks to the help of many people in my FL and others from my friend's FL. I also found that IWHBYD skull but had to do it alone to make sure I was doing it right. I think it was Monday night I followed a friend into a custom games room and we played some seriously fun games: Frank The Tank and spikeball(?) and also some other game types on Sunday or Saturday night some variations of rocket races, anyways I gotta find the person and ask him the names again.

I downloaded the Virtua Fighter 5 demo last Friday along with the Call of Duty 4 PC demo. VF5 looks awesome! The gameplay is meh, maybe the full app might be a bit better, anyone interested in this title? The COD4 PC demo was nice but to me it felt shorter than the COD2 xbox 360 demo from launch.

OMG, my inbox....Ok, back to work for me!
