Absent minded

Yesterday I was installing a new PC at work. The first thing I do after I turn them on and after that initial setup process is set the correct timezone on the PC clock, not this time. I have what could be described as two jobs in the same company. In the morning 8 -12 I do tech support and in the afternoon I work on websites and updating our existing ones. Anyways, I was installing software and whatnot and I see the time on the PC its 12:20! OMG, my lunch break! I hurry to finish up what i was doing and rush upstairs punch in my time card and merrily go out to lunch. Hhhmm, why is the cafeteria so full, its late, its not like this at this time. FAIL! It was 11:30am. Forgot to set the timezone on the PC and I didn't even bother to look at my watch or the timer that punches the timecards. One hour later (12:30) I noticed my mistake.

LOL

The 360 is still busted, the coffin hasn't arrived yet. I log on to that new xbox 360 service web site for follow up, its down for maintenance and give me an error message. I try to look for the in store warranty which I find, WOOT! OMG, the ink faded! Time for plan B. I search my home PC to see if I scanned the warranty receipts...nothing. This morning at work I try and search the PC for the scanned receipts and I find them, WOOT! Uhm...the text on there is sort of unreadable! I hope it doesn't cause any problems when I try to get another console.

Guild Wars: Eye of The North: Its a good expansion pack, new to the series are dungeons (underground exploration), a bunch of regular quests, master difficulty quests, solo quests and tons of PvE (player vs environment) skills to use. Basically the storyline goes: there's a ancient evil lurking in the depths of the lands called Tyria (the first continent you get to play in) its so powerful you need to seek the help of various factions. It also expands on the storyline of the first guild wars story line called "Prophecies".

More missions to be added in November with the missions pack come 4 new missions that delve into the storyline (reenact past events) of the past 3 guild wars campaigns: Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall.

That is all.

1-800-4-my-xbox...Sigh

Today my console finally went caput. Called that number today, most of you know the feeling. I'll be out of action for some time. My only frustration is not being able to play BioShock yet which I got during the week.

I am glad I was able to log in some quality time on the COD4 beta last night with a bunch of 2o2pers and get to level 16. Dunno how but my console lasted all night long without crashing on me. I guess I can go read a book or something, they say its like forums but longer

Denied!

Last night I was really looking forward to our clan's COD night. I got home from work first thing i notice is that my internet connection (DSL) is out by some status led in front of the modem. OK, it'll probably be back later. I go have dinner, when i return, still no connection, power cycle it, no good. OK, time to call support. WTH, all the phones around the house are dead! I hate it when you call support and all you get is the automated answering system and no early option to talk to someone live. When i did finally hear the option to talk with a rep I get the busy signal and a hang up. SIGH. I miss my Shadowrun nights! Give me back my net!

OK, now that that's out of my system, time to report something good, for a change since I've been blogging only when I'm frustrated at something.

I took the time to do some single player gaming I'd otherwise leave for the weekends or rainy days.

This weekend: Guild Wars: Eye of The North 72 Hours of Early Access free

  • Guild Wars: Eye of the North (commonly abbreviated as GW:EN, as on the official site; GWEN, or EotN) is an upcoming product of the Guild Wars game series. It is an expansion to all of the first three campaigns. Unlike the previous three Guild Wars products, Eye of the North is not a standalone campaign; it is an expansion pack.
  • Eye of the North will require at least one of the Guild Wars campaigns to play, and focuses on high-level content for existing characters.
  • The campaign's name refers to the Eye of the North, a tower in the Far Shiverpeaks, which shows visions and will play a significant role in the plot of the expansion.
Woot! oh, wait, no internet

The continuing saga of broken stuff

For the last couple of weeks I've been experiencing problems with my XBL connection....

Alright I think I'm getting to the bottom of this. I call xbox support they tell me to try my connection elsewhere. I plan on bringing my 360 to work and check out the connection there since it was brought to my attention that most of the people here will either not be here tomorrow or out on training.

I also call my ISP and my connection wasn't syncing up (generated a job order for support) and they reported there was some repairs being done to something in somewhere affecting connection all over.

I'll be updating tomorrow.

Yesterday I got my copy of Shadowrun, that's for the game invites Zikan, Fetal, and P Train! I was able to play some matches till aforementioned problem was getting me disconnection error and even not allowing me to get into any games.
