Be careful what you wish for

As most guys do as a teenager I remember seeing movies or shows were teens were peering across to their neighbors house to catch a glimpse of someone's breasts. Well that never happened to me growing up. It wasn't until tonight at 31 years old that it occurred.

I was pulling the trash bin around the side of the house tonight and I happened to look to my left to see my neighbors blinds open. Then I saw them a set of tits that sorry to say are much bigger than my wife's staring at me across the window.

But not as I imagined as a child you see these massive mammaries belonged to my neighbors teenage boy who was prancing around the living room without his shirt on..

I'm going to go throw up now

A call to all parents.....HELP!!!

First of all let me say to all of my clan mates I miss you. Having a 5 week old and a 22 month old my gaming has taken a backseat. My youngest however is starting to get into a regular sleeping pattern so I expect to be back online more often very soon. Not to mention that my Internet connection has been going down more often than Paris Hilton on a Friday night

Any way back to my topic, I am looking to the fellow parents on this site for any thoughts or suggestions for a recent trend my oldest daughter has found. Sunday during her nap time marked the 4th occasion that she decided to remove her pants and her diaper although this was the first mess we had.

I was feeding my youngest on the couch and I could hear her stirring in the other room. My wife was on her way home and I just could not get to her right then. I was wrapping up the feeding when I began to smell something foul. I put my youngest in her playpen and went to investigate. I walked in and found my daughter, her crib, and all her bedding covered in (you know damn well what so I'm not going to say it). Just then I heard my wife walk in the house. I yelled for her to get in there right away.

My wife started laughing which I can't blame her but I don't want my daughter to think this behavior was funny or ok regardless so I yelled at my wife to stop. I immediately took her into the tub and gave her a bath while my wife worked on the crib. My daughter was covered face, hair, mouth....everything. It took about an hour and multiple rounds in the washer to get everything cleaned.

I know some of you out there must have faced something like this with your kids and I am looking for any suggestions you may have. Right now when we put her to bed she is wearing shorts that she cannot pull off to help prevent this.

Welcome Home

Mom and baby were released from the hospital today. It's good to be home. I am humbled and amazed at the difference between my readiness for this child compared to our first. In the last few weeks before my oldest was born I was extremely nervous and down right scared. I didn't know if I would be a good father, hell I had never held a baby for more than a couple of minutes my entire life. This time I was excited, knowing what to expect and how I would handle it was a great relief.

I had ordered a surprise for my wife but I wasn't sure if it would make it before she arrived home. I made a few calls and I was able to get it delivered about an hour before we got home. When we pulled up to the house I had my wife close her eyes. When she opened them she saw this...

She was immediately in tears. The sign is a rental but we get to keep the stars, we will hang one in each of the girls rooms. Everyone is sound asleep now except for me....guess I will join in.

Newest Member

Kaitlyn Marie was born this morning at 7:56 AM. She weighed in at 7lbs 3 oz and is 19 1/2 inches long. Mom and baby are doing fine.

I almost came to tears when I introduced my oldest to her new baby sister. You can see in the photos that she is patting her. Baby Kaitlyn was crying and her big sis was trying to make it all better.

Here are a few photos for now. Had a long day and need to get some sleep.

Does this diaper make my butt look big??

<img src="http://www.2old2play.com/modules/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=10232&g2_serialNumber=2" My wife is scheduled for a c-section Friday morning. I took off work starting tomorrow so I was planning on getting in as much Rainbow Six Vegas (new maps) tonight and tomorrow as possible. I got to play for 15 minutes.......

Before leaving for work this morning, I downloaded the new Rainbow Six maps. Came home and fired up the xbox. I kept getting some weird artifacts on the screens on a couple of the maps and it was really hard to see.

I rebooted and I get the same thing only on a few maps.

So I go online and search google to see if anyone else is seeing this type of issue. Nothing to be found. I boot back up and now I get the issue on Any HD content, videos, games, everything but the dashboard. I had an extra HD cable so for shits and grins I try it. Same thing. I try the second composite port on my TV same thing.

I turn the unit off for an hour or two and grab dinner. Turn it back on and.....Red Fucking Light

I call MS and they are going to repair for free (which suprised me because I purchased it on 1/1/06, I remember the date because I was at Walmart at 6am when they opened)

I really wanted to play tonight and tomorrow because I won't have time for the next few weeks (which at least makes this a perfect time to send in for repair).

Oh well. I will have a much better time introducing my 21 month old to her new baby sister anyway.

GRAW2 MP

So I finally was able to get in some good GRAW2 MP in tonight and I was amazed. I like just about everything there is about this game. The graphics are outstanding and the gameplay is fantastic IMHO. The images from the Crash Site map for example are amazing.

There had be a couple of threads in my clan about people considering getting rid of the game. The consensus was however that though everyone seemed to like it but we didn't give it a fair try. Tonight we had around 10 people in and it was a blast. It will take me sometime to learn the maps but I'm fine with that. I do think that the single player is a little easy however (not finished yet but so far), but most of us on this site buy games for the Multi Player aspect.

We have a couple of members in our clan that love to use the sniper rifles, myself included, the vast area that some of these maps cover leave plenty of options for people wanting to lay low and put a few rounds in people's skulls.

I have only really gotten to play the Team Elimination rounds but I am looking forward to trying out the other modes. I hope my fellow clan members hang on to this game as I really enjoy playing against them. Until next time...

Ready to go home

Well tonight is my last night here in Dallas, I fly home tomorrow. The training I'm doing for my work was actually really good and I am positive it will make both my job and the rest of my team's a little easier. Overall the trip has been fun but I'm ready to go home.

This has been my third trip I have been on for work since my daughter was born. The first two weren't as hard on me because she was much younger and didn't interact as much. Now that's she's 20 months old I feel that even in as short as a week I am missing a lot. I can't wait to get home tomorrow and see her and my wife. I have gotten to talk to her on the phone a little but it's no substitution for the real thing.

Today my wife was put on maternity leave about three weeks earlier than we had planned. She is not due until next month but the doctor's felt it would be best for her right now. We are less than a month away and I am really starting to get excited. I know some parents are excited about having children but for our first I was nervous as could be. Now that I have been there done that so to speak I don't feel nervous and am really looking forward to it.

As I posted in my blog yesterday I got to meet two of my clan members while here which was cool. There were some almost erie similarites between Kurupt and his wife and myself and my wife, (we both share a neighborhood with an in-law....scary) I really wish I could go to the Chicago LAN party to meet other 2o2 members but that isn't an option this year. Maybe in a year or two we will see.

I really would like to thank those that started this site, it's great to get like minded individuals together that share common interests. However it has spoiled me a little, I can no longer play online with your typical idiots out there (I have to play with 2o2 idiots) I just can't stand it any more. It makes me wonder how I did it in the past.

Alright this has gone on long enough, I will wrap it up. I guess I will just sit here in the hotel watching the NCAA tourney.....Let me check my bracket here Texas A&M to win it all........Damn....Oh well.

Oh and to my clan mates, I hope you will all be on tomorrow night because I really need to shoot something.

Meeting the Father of my clan

So I'm in Dallas for some training this week. So I made plans to meet with fellow clan members Kurupt, SexKitten, & Lord Bling. Now one of these three did not show up but will remain nameless. He is nameless because since Lord Bling didn't show up I don't know his name and therefore cannot call him out.

So I did get to meet both Kurupt who founded our clan 2old4tactics and his wife SexKitten. Meeting the father of the clan is a lot like meeting the pope. (If the pope was 6'8" drank beer, and didn't make me kiss his rings.) We shared a few stories, had a few laughs, all in all it was fun. It's always nice to be able to put faces to names and make new aqauintenances.

Oh well, now I'm back in my hotel with my XBOX sitting at home. Reading forums about people playing games instead of actually playing them.

Left out in the cold

Ever since I joined this site and a clan within, I have been able to find several people online nightly to play Rainbow Six Vegas with. I actually bought the game at the suggestion of some of my clan members. In the past I have never been big on the shooter games. Well 30 minutes after loading the game for the first time I received a MP invite from some of my clan mates. I absolutely loved it and played online almost every night after my daughter went to bed since.

Then something tragic happened.......Crackdown was released. Now I did not get the game for a couple of reasons, first of all I'm not into that type of game to begin with and secondly I didn't have the $60 at the time to spend on it. Several members of my clan bought the game either for itself or for the Halo 3 beta, but something funny happened. I think they all fell in love with the MP side of the game. Almost every night I can find at least 10 members signed in playing Crackdown. I do have my monthly game rental coupon from Blockbuster so I think I will at least give it a try this week but I doubt I will purchase it.

I have gone back to playing some of the other games I have in the interim until either RB6 takes back the clan or GRAW2 comes out. I have revisited the single player of COD3, Battlestations Midway, and GRAW. Actually, you can probably attribute every post in my blog being written due to the fact that I have spent more time on the site lately than I have in the games. I do have my monthly game rental coupon from Blockbuster so I think I will at least give it a try this week but I doubt I will purchase it.

The truly sad thing is that since joining this site, I can't go back to playing online with the timmies. I just can't stand it anymore to play with the average idiot online. I need to play with the "idiots" that I have come to know and enjoy from this site.

Excuse me....

I'm trying to think back and place exactly when waiter's and waitresses stopped bringing your meals to the table. I think it was about 5 or 6 years ago to the best of my recollection. This happened this morning and my wife's order was completely wrong, but in typical fashion the lady sat the food down and instantly disappeared. Someone else almost always brings your food to you, unless we are talking the waffle house as to which comedian Jim Gaffigan compared to a men's room that serves pancakes.

I don't know why I find this annoying, it's not really an issue if the order is right. However, when it's not you would hope that your waitress notices before giving you the food or at least you can inform them right away. Don't get me wrong I know that it is a tough job, I worked food service for 7 years in a previous life. My family goes out to breakfast every couple of weeks at the same restaurant, we actually have a regular waitress. She does a fine job and maybe that's why I am annoyed when we are somewhere else and the level of service is sub par.

My wife is very hard on the wait staff so I try to be a generous tipper I almost never leave less than 20%. She tends to ask for something and then when she gets it she remembers something else. This however is not just when we go out to eat she does the same things to me at home (except I don't get a good tip in return). I do think if my wife had seen the movie Waiting she wouldn't complain as much.

Oh and if you happen to be a waiter or a waitress and I pay the bill in cash, do not ask me if I need change. If I am going to have you keep the change I will tell you, or you can say that you will be right back with the change and I can tell you never mind. I find this to be very tacky and reminds me of an incident that happened several years ago. We were at a restaurant and the total bill was around $40 - $50. I handed the waitress a $100 and she asked if I needed change, without missing a beat I said your damned right I do.

Just curious to see what some other members thoughts are, if you read this please comment. Good or bad, it won't bother me. Thanks

Welcome to my nightmare.

Well, not exactly my nightmare actually it was my daughter. She is 19 months old and to the best we can figure out she had her first true nightmare last night. I went to bed at approximately 1:00AM this morning (after finishing The Departed which was fantastic), and about 25 minutes after getting into bed we hear a blood curdling scream come over the monitor from my daughters room. Now normally if she wakes up you hear her stir around a bit making some noises before she gets frustrated, this was not the case. She went from absolute silence to inconsolable screaming.

I got her out of bed and we got her calmed down. After about half an hour I put her back in bed, as soon as her head hit the pillow she immediately stood up crying with her arms outstretched for me to pick her back up. We were up all night with her, she fell asleep for maybe an hour and a half in my wife's arms but that was it. She refused to go back into her bed, I think we tried about 8 times. My wife couldn't even get her to take a nap longer than about half an hour today. She was extremely fussy throughout the day. I finally got her to go to bed tonight around 8pm. This is completely unusual for her. Best we can figure it was just a nightmare. She is in good health and when we got her up she was happy to play in the living room (even though both my wife and I could barely keep our eyes open).

Being a father has shown me challenges I never thought I would face, it has also brought me great joy. Even today when I struggled to get through work because I was so tired and irritable I instantly forgot all of that when I got home and had her run up to me. We play every night for an hour or two before she goes to bed. My wife works nights and I work days so we both almost live the lives of single parents. It's rough but I wouldn't trade any minute of it.

I'm not sure what leads me to post these blogs on the website. Maybe it's some sort of release, I'm not sure but I do find it calming. I read several everyday ranging from the new games coming out to people sharing both life's joys and challenges. Some people have questioned lately some of the blog content, whether it's people trying to get more points or just trying to stay in the top 4. I'm not about any of that. I like reading other's stories that they post and hope that some of you can enjoy some of mine/

But then again if you don't, I won't lose any sleep over it, that is unless she has another nightmare.

A little scare

After my first blog I received some positive feedback but hadn't decided if I would ever do it again. Later that night something a little scary happened that I thought I would share.

Late in the evening Monday night after posting my first blog about some of the challenges of being a parent my wife and experienced something a little scary. She awoke from a dead sleep with severe abdominal pain, the pain would come in waves about every 10-15 minutes. She is only approximately 32 weeks pregnant so naturally we were concerned that it was early labor. She called her OB who ordered us to take her to the hospital immediately. We had a neighbor come over to stay at the house as our daughter was sound asleep and off we went.

The nice thing about the hospital we use is that in the case of an emergency a pregnant woman is brought up immediately to the maternity ward and does not have to sit in the ER and wait to be triaged. The doctor that did the initial diagnosis thought it was simply gas although the pain was bad enough to put my wife into tears. She was a little ashamed at the thought that something like that could land her in the hospital. I tried to comfort her telling her that when I was 17 I had severe abdominal pain that I mistook for gas, later that day I was rushed into an OR for an appendectomy. Not taking any chances they put her through a barrage of tests.

The next day she was feeling much better, all the tests were negative. Stress tests on the baby were fine, heart rate was strong. We were finally discharged around 7:30 pm the next day. They are insisting she have one last test after the baby is born to rule out something with the pancreas I do not remember what it was called but the test cannot be performed while she is expecting. There was no official diagnosis given to us, and to be honest we just wanted to go home and didn't think about it until we left (common mistake of a patient). I was asked to stay home to help her out with our daughter today to assure that my wife is doing better.

All in all everything worked out, the baby is fine, mama is fine, and dad is just a bit tired (did I mention the coffee machine in the maternity ward was broken and the cafeteria was closed). For my clan mates that haven't seen me on in a little bit this is why. Not that it matters from what I can see everyone is playing Crackdown, a game I don't plan on buying anyway.

My life as I know it is over.....

I realized the other day that my life as I know it is over.....not in a bad thing at all mind you just recent changes that I never saw happening to me. This past week my wife and I purchased a mini-van, we have one daughter and are expecting another in a couple of months. This got me thinking how did I get here.

I was never a person that saw having children as a necessary step to having a full and complete life. I could have been happy just being married and living out my life with my wife. Now I am on the other side of that and I can honestly say that I could never go back. My daughter has changed me in ways I did not think were ever possible. Today she is 19 months old and in a couple of months we will have our second (also a girl). I never would have imagined that I would be 31 with two kids under the age of two (albeit only for a few months). My wife is the one that wanted kids, I am so truly grateful that she convinced me and that is a gift in which I will never be able to repay.

I wasn't ready to be a parent, but then almost overnight...I was. People say that having kids is a life changing experience and now I can honestly agree. This is one of the things I love about this site and the members in my clan. Most of us are people who while we enjoy playing games and chatting with each other, games are not the most important things in our lives. Every once in a while someone posts a blog or a forum thread explaining either a tragedy or an illness or in some cases a divorce. I then get to see members of this site post entries of support and words of encouragement, (some of which are posted by the guy that just started the Fart Joke Thread 10 minutes before).

This has been my first blog entry....I'm not sure if I will ever do another one....but I wanted to take a few minutes to share this realization with you. I read several blog entries a day and I just wanted to give one back so to speak for everyone to read.
