MTGO recruitment

Sometimes I get accused of allowing gaming and this website to take up all my time.  Well, so what?  Gives me something to do.  Something I like....  So, J-Cat wrote a very nice article about my game, Magic the Gathering Online.  She gave me "permission" to publish it on my other website.  No, this is my home.  But my recruitment thread is there.  I went to the clan recruitment forum and WTF?  They are limiting the threads to THREE!!!!  And one of them is info on how to post a recruitment thread.  That means, only TWO!!!  I dunno when that happened.  It took my non-techy self a while, but I found my thread buried somewhere in cyber space, and bumped it.  Whew.  When the new version, commonly known as V3, was finally released, I got an influx of new clannies for a while, then, nothing.  Hmmm.  I sorta wondered why it stopped.  Well, now I know.  So, I am prepared for more work soon.  It's fun, tho, breaking in new clannies.  They need to learn rule #1:  Never beat up on the captain.  Course, my other clannies tell them that rule #1 is ALWAYS beat up on the captain.    We get that straighted out sooner or later.  LOL.   And then, there is rule #2:  Flattery will get you everywhere!  Ahhh, we won't go there....

Eek, it is soooooo hot!  I don't even want to know what the heat index is.  But it is around 100 degrees, which would make the heat index, omg!  I am getting a farmer tan just waiting for the bus in the afternoon.  Bah!  I have melted into a puddle.

The countdown continues.  23 more days until drunken debaucherie!

what next, diablo 3?

Some of my clannies and I have decided to play Diablo 2 in readiness for Diablo 3.  I had to buy it, cuz I have never played.  And, of course, it was cheap cuz it is an older game.  And, the graphics are so so, imo.  And I have leveled to 13 very quickly doing the same stuff over and over.  Get a quest, pursue it by killing everything in site. Go into a cave/dungeon, whatever they are called in this game.  Kill everything.  Pick up stuff, and, oops, you never have enuf room for anything cuz your inventory is sooooo small.  So, quick, port back to town, get rid of your stuff, go back and kill everything in sight and pick up stuff.  Oops, full again.  Do I really need all of this?  Nah....  So, if this is all there is, what now?  Of course, they know I play WoW, and there is a lot of discussion about which is a better game.  Part of that discussion includes the monthly fee for WoW.  And the fact that D 2 is playable online without a fee.  Yeh, I know, some people won't or can't pay the fee that feeds Blizzard's pocketbook.  I really don't care...  It just goes on my credit card and, well, that's it!  So, is it the gameplay?  Or the fact that you are hanging with your buds?  Does the game get more involved?  Very repetitve, so far.  Is it cuz it's free?  Dunno.  We shall see if D3 has more to offer.  I like hanging with my buds, for sure.  The game itself?  We shall see.

What to do.....

I have been staring at a road map of the United States for some time now.  Man, this country is huge!  The price of gas is a bit disheartening.  But, yes, I am thinking about my next road trip.  I am antsy now, ready to goooo.  But, I have the Lan in August (woot) and a cruise in September.  The cruise is a 5 year anniversary for my niece that got married on another cruise ship, and there were 60 friends and family in attendance.  It was a blast!  Well, we're gonna do it again, but I'm not sure that there will be anywhere near that many, but my brothers will be there!  That's cool.  We can make mischief just like we did in the old days.  Yeh!

Now, the road trip.  I am thinking about making a very big circle.  I always start out with these huge plans, but I have to size them down a bit for reality's sake.  I would like to do Oklahoma, Texas, perhaps Arizona, California, Oregon (Meemoos!), and, gosh, dunno.  That is already a lot.  Idaho.  Minnesota.  Bah!  The country is just waaaay too big.  I will think on it some more, and also start narrowing down a time.  I think in the spring.....

We had a patient come in for treatment the other day that had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.  Same as hubby!  Wow, he has no idea how lucky he was that we found if so early.  This woman can barely walk, has generalized pain, facial droop from nerve damage, and more.  All of these things could be permanent, or not.  Only time will tell.  Again, Wow!

Just a quickie

Just got my "all is well" letter in the mail.  That was fast!  I really wasn't worried.  Why worry?  What will be will be, anyways, and you go from there.  Well, hopefully I am good for another year, now. 

Adtler is playing some weird game on the xbox.  If it says that Depthseeker was playing weird arcade games, don't believe it!  He luvs them!  He bounces from one to the other and makes appropriate noices, to boot.  He does not understand any of them, but also doesn't care.  Ahhh, to be 6 years old!
