Haven't posted in a while

Well its been a while since my last blog. Since then I have figured out my connection issues. I was real happy about that. It still plagues some of our clan members though.
I have noticed that Rainbow Six Vegas hasn't been the game of choice lately. Members have been doing a lot of TW golf, COD3, GoW, Crackdown, & some Halo.
Personally I don't really care for those games. It is always fun to play them with clan members though. Right now I am sticking with RB6 Vegas. It is the best game that has ever came out PERIOD>>>
As far as the new Halo3 beta goes. It didnt make me want to go out and reserve it. I am sure when it FINALY comes out it will crush all other games. I don't know we will see....
I stayed home from work today because my wife kept me up all night. Not what you think. We just talked, laughed and had fun with each others conversation. Thats why I love her. She's my best friend.
It is a great day and I am glad to be breathing......till next time......

I am getting stressed

This damn XBOX360 or Rainbow Six Vegas or Router. I really don't know the problem. It is one of the three or maybe a combo of all.

Me and my clan have noticed when some people host some members cant get in, some cant, hear another member in the lobby or game. Lately it has been getting this way for me.

Last night, I could not connect to the dedicated server that we usually always play on. I tried and tried. The members in the lobby were sending invites and every time I accepted, it told me (Failed to join requested match).

I done all I could think of. Reset my XBOX, Router, Computer. Checked all my settings. My NAT settings were open ( according to XBOX, Microsoft, & Dlink this was the optimal setting). I have an XBOX live compatible Router according to the list on xbox.com. Trying to get any sort of customer support is like driving from coast to coast on a moped. It can be done but it will take forever.

I don't know what to do. Is there anyone out there that has this same problem.

I might have to buy a better router. I don't want to do that unless I know for sure it will fix the problem.

Mad as HELL

Man I am fuming! This G--damn game was great before the last patch. Ever since the patch I have had nothing but complications connecting with my clans rooms. It depends who host. If a certain member host I cant get in. If someone else host they cant get in. there is always 2 or three that cant connect. Not only that some members that I used to communicate with, well I cant even hear them when they talk. we have to use interpreters. I wonder if it will ever be fixed. I have been playing in public rooms lately and finding no enjoyment out of that. To much negativity, trash talking, & disrespecting one another. It is taking all the fun out of the game for me. Thanks for dumping the patch on us UBI! If I knew it was going to F up the online experience I never would have bought the DLC. I am about to sell this freaking game in our garage sale.

Setting up Gamebattles

When I discussed setting up our clan on gamebattles.com with our clan leader Fivesolas. He said that would be great. And asked me if I wouldnt mind getting that ball rolling. I was Honored! And I of course agreed.

I got to tell ya. It is a bit overwhelming. We started this clan with about 8-10 members and we have grown to over 50 in a short time. Trying to get everyone set up at GB's has not been easy. Some I may have missed and I opaligize for that.

We are still a little unorganized as of now but we as a clan are working through it.

We are pretty much set up on gamebattles and starting to play and challenge other clans.

I am not complaining at all. In fact this is fun for me. It is just very time consuming trying to manage these matches. But like I said we will work through it and be at the top someday. Because our clan ROCKS!

DLC finally something official

Rainbow Six Vegas...Yea Baby! Man! It's about time April 18th for only 11 bucks. I have read in many forums that many gamers do not want to pay for the content. As far as I am concerned it is well worth it. I paid $60 for this game in November when it first came out. I have been playing it everyday literally. This was the best $60 I ever spent and I wont hesitate to put down another $11 for the best game ever. Since I am poor I guess my family wont get to eat that day........

DLC for Vegas

I thought HAlO was the best game in the world nothing came close. I lost intrest because I got tired of waiting for any new content and just lost intrest in the game. The RB6 came out and gave me hope. Although it lookes like they are taking the HALO approch. I know that the DLC will be perfect, but I hope that I wont lose intrest in getting it.

If it comes out in the summer months I doubt I will even want it. It looks like it wont be released for a while.

Beat GRAW2 on hard....AWESOME

I beat this game the other day on elevated risk. Let me tell ya..It gave me gooooooosebumps!!!! With out giving too much away I will say although it was an intense game that really draws you into the virtual world. I was a little disappointed in the ending....When you get there you will know what I mean..Part 3, is it coming? You can bet on that. Will it be with Captain Mitchell as the main character? It is hard to say........

Now I will go back and chip away at the achievements for the single player and dive more into the multiplayer.

Back To School

Well it is official. After 20years of being out of high school I decided to go on to higher education and go back to college. Well community college. The financial aid went though and I started my first class 03/14/2007. I decided to pursue an Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. And eventually go for a Bachelors. It kind of sucks that I am the oldest in my class but I don't think anyone really notices. I hope that I will stick with it and get a job that I will love to work at. I am going to use my maintenance skills to incorporate into my drawings. I am going to pursue something in electrical drafting. I love to set behind a computer and I was an art major in high school. so this works for me. It will cut into my 360 and my clan commitments but it should pay off in the long run.

GRAW 2 --I am LOVING it!

Man I am loving this game. I just now put it down after playing for 41/2 hours straight. The intensity is unreal. I am talking about the campaign.

The real cool features are the ability to scan area's with the new UAV pod. I love the cameras that you can cycle through. There is a lot to explore and I am discovering new things as I go. The first GRAW was to me too repetitive. I have not seen that with this version. This game really gets my heart pounding.

GRAW 2

I got it. And I love it!

I have heard people say that have played the campaign Demo that it was no different than the first and it should be considered just DLC. I have to say that it is different in a good way.
PROS-
Totally amazing graphics. The shadow and light effects will pull you right in. The explosive reaction of your controller when you set off a satchel explosive. The intensity of the quality music when you get to the climax of a mission ( kinda reminds me of the last 5 mins of 24 w/Jack Bauer). They have added a medic to help with the healing process. The doc can also heal you. The voice over is pretty cool. The MULE that brings weapons is a good new feature. but what I like the most is the cross com upgrades. You have the ability to look through your teams eyes and give commands. You can lock a target and have the sniper take it out or the anti-tank gunner take out a vehicle etc. The UAV drone is real cool as well. When scanning an area your able to see and mark enemy's in a satellite viewing type mode. its like it has a camera on it. I just got it and I need more time to really get the full effect of it but I feel it will be even better online.

CONS- there is a lot to learn button wise. alot of switching things around. It is a tactical game however. It can be real comber-some in the heat of battle. The zoom in feature on the rifles and sniper guns. when trying to line up a head shot it can be real touchy. I am really tired of hearing all that Mexican chatter. Come on! make it realistic use the right nationality of terrorist. Who really hates our country? The A.I. is pretty good but I would have like to see a more realistic A.I.
I haven't played the multiplayer enough to criticize it. But I have already been kicked from a few games because I didnt know what I was doing. It's already starting......
The clan feature looks to be a real cool addition. I need to delve into the multiplayer more. But I am to rapped up in R6V.

Always respect the host!

I was reading in the fourms and a certain post came up about people joining a game with a group of friends. The people that jioned was rude and obnoxious.

The host is the person with there finger on the button. They can boot you faster than you can say ........P.E.C. land here I come. The Host makes the rules. Sets the time. Sends the initial invites. I always ask the host if it is alright to send some invites before I do. If the host is letting people be obnoxious and disrespectful and you dont like it, then leave. If the host dont want explosives then dont whine. If the host wants to glitch and you dont want to, then leave. The host is the host. They are the rule makers. Play by there rules or go somewere eles.

Everyone here is adults and we all probaly already know this. It is just a matter of respect and common sense.

Glitching And Boosting For Rank (R6V)

Remember Contra on Nintendo NES? Do you remember the cheat code? I think you go 100 lives or somthing like that. It was the only way I could ever beat that game. Back in those days games had hiddin codes and they were ment to be found. It made it a little more interesting. I used cheat codes all the time. Until I played the first HALO. If there was a cheat code I could not figure or find it out. I beat that game with out cheating and I relized I could beat other games just like it. Who needs to cheat anyway. I have heard that glitching and boosting tares your equipment up. Why pay all that money ($399) for a 360 + ($59) for a game and ($49) for a controller just to tear it up. So what, you got the elite medal but do you deserve to show it? Do you feel proud? Can you own everyone that you play against? Have you earned the online achievements? Unlocking items a really cool. Some might say, " There is nothing wrong with cheating to get those items?" Others may say, "Who cares if you boost to get a higher rank." with the higher ranks you get stuff (cool camo, Wepons etc.) Well lets look at it like this. You want to wear the best styles from the best dept. stores. If you did not earn the money to buy them would you steal them? I doubt it. But why? Because you would go to jail? Well that may have a lot to do with it. Maybe it is because you know its worng. If you steal, some one will have to pay. In the case of glitching and boosting the ones that are paying the price are the ones that have earned the rights to be elite's. Every time I see the elite medal I wonder if they boosted or played to get there. And that is not fair to someone that played hard and earned it.

Under Pressure (Rainbow Six Vegas)

Ever feel like you just cant get it together? Your playing sucks? Your letting your team down? If your playing Team Sharpsooter, the other team is racking up points because they are killing you more than you are killing them. Or you are being owned by a private. You are last at the end of a game. On top of that your an officer's rank. You may hear " This guy sucks", "Booster", " Did you get your rank from glitching?" Man! Thats a lot of pressure.

I don't glitch. I don't cheat. I play fair. That's my motto. I received my rank and achievements by playing and playing and playing. There are days when I am untouchable ( in a sense). But lately it seems like my playing really sucks. I would like to blameit on lag or others cheating. But is that really the problem? I don't know? All I know is that I must step it up.
