Fuck you, and the Thursday you rode in on

Got dragged out of bed at 430am, to go to Circuit City to get the kids an XBox 360, with a refurbished HDD, for $199

We get their, notice the line going from the front door, all the way around the back, the line move, we wade through the sea of pathetic black Friday shoppers, only to find out they sold out every unit in about 1 and a half minutes.

Anger stage 1.......We decide to try Sears, they had a $199 arcade bundle with a free controller, we get in there, it's looking promising, until we get to electronics, and the line is about 30 long, and 10 people deep. People just waiting in line for the chance to see if they have what they want.

Anger stage 2......I lose it, between the people, the fact that its 5am, and my general disdain for humanity, I start throwing out expletives like chitlens, Durty gets frustrated with me, we leave.

Then I suggest going to Gamestop, and see what they got. A much more pleasant experience, no one was in the store, the help was......HELPFUL, so we ended up getting the arcade bundle w/6 arcade games, a cooler, and 2 games for $240. Which in my personal opinion, I would rather pay an extra $40 for actual help, and not having to put up with an over crowded store. Saving $40 in lew of my fucking sanity doesn't work for me.

So we got that out of the way, now I get to look forward to shopping for Durty with her mom.

BONUS

I got my work Christmas bonus a week early.......basically they give their employees, a month's pay for every year they work there, on top of your regular week's pay, I have only been employed there for 8 months now, and since I'm such an awsome employee, and have never called in, I got the full months pay......FUCK N A!!!!! So bills will get caught up, Left 4 Dead will be bought, and Christmas presents for the lady, and children will be taken care of.......yay money.

In other news.......one of my best friends from high school just got out of his 6 year prison term and is in a halfway house rehab place here in town for the next 8 months. He was a part of the original crew of 6 of us hooligans from our high school. We all caused trouble, did stuff we shouldn't have, basic male young adult stupidity. We all had our demons, and our addictions......and Kent was always the one to take everything too far, do to much, and not care for the consequences. 8 years ago he moved to SC for a year, and got all hooked on crack, lost his house, job, and girlfriend......his mother paid me and another of our buddies to go rescue him and bring him home.........only to get hooked on the meth shortly after coming back. Now the rest of the crew kind of went our own path's, with marrage, jobs, kids....just growing up. But not Kent, he gets into the wrong crowd, starts making meth, and was in on a grocery store robbery for $70,000. Shortly before he got caught, we had a falling out,.....I ran into him at a Wal-Mart, and my son, who was maybe 3 at the time was with me, Kent gets into my car, and I could tell he was tweeking his balls off, and he brings out this huge bag of meth, and starts asking me if I want any or if I can get rid of some..........to which I slammed on the brakes (luckily we were in a parking lot) and told him to get the fuck out of my car with that shit, that it was totally uncalled for in front of my son, he starts arguing and I get out and open his door telling him I'm going to drag him out and beat the fuck out of him.......he's 6'9'' tall, and weighed about 240 lbs, I'm 5'9'' about 200 lbs, but I didnt care because he could have been responsable for me not seeeing my child again. He gets out of the car, I leave, and the next I hear from him is from his mother who told me he got caught with all his drugs by a elememtary school, and the robbery caught up with him.

I talked to him on the phone after he had been in a few months in the local jail, before he got shipped to the state pen........he apologized for his actions, and what not, I just kind of took it as whatever. He gets shipped off and everyone else moves on with their lives.

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago.......I get a call from Kent, and find out he's here, and he's lonely, and bored. So I call some of the old crew up, and 3 of us agree to go visit him this Sunday, one of our buddies refuses to see him, and I really think he should because he was the one responsable for getting him hooked on the needle, and I really think there needs to be closure there, but whatever.

I've know Kent since we were 13, and while I dont really trust him anymore, I am all for giving him some benifit of the doubt to try to get his shit together, only time will tell, and I will be there for him as much as I can without involving myself or my family in future illegal stupidity.

Sadly..........

My tenure as the drummer for a Emo band has ended..........FUCK........I didn't even get the chance to quit, it makes me want to.......hurt myself, not really, because I'm not EMO!!!!

I have however had about 4 shots of Tequilla, and a few beers, feeling............prteety ok!!!

THE emo kids showed up tonight to pick their shit up, and basically only said, that since we havn't practiced in a while, that we might as well quit. Cool with me, didnt like what we were doing anyway, plus I started jamminjg with another guitarist, so we'll see what happens with that!!

Road Porn, and the T-boning deer

So there I was driving my route down hwy 50 between Jefferson City and Sedalia MO. It's a 60 mile straight flat dark 2 lane highway, with not much to see. I am coming up to a farm house just on the other side of the road, and I see there is a big screen tv on, as I get closer I can make out that it is a porno, or something like it, there were 2 girls going at it..(nice), I see what I can, and pass the house, as I turn my attention back to the road, I see about 40 yards or so infront of me in the opposite lane a deer. I didnt think much of it, he was facing towards the woods, so I figured he'd run away safely the closer I got. Well I get within 10-15 yards, I calmly move over a little, driving half way on my shoulder, so as not to hit the deer, what does the dumb deer do? Right as my hood is even with him, instead of him running away, he turns a 180, and tries to jump over or through the box, on my box truck, I heard the slam, and felt the truck lurch a little bit, I slow down, turn around to see if he is still there, he's not, guess he made it to the woods, safely or to die. The rest of the night was uneventfull.

Aftermath

I'm really not one to go off on politics, or religion, I have my own beliefs and views on the subjects. Everyone is so opinionated when it comes to those topics, everyone thinks they are right, and everyone else is wrong.....so I'm just going to point out a few facts, and a couple of my opinions.

Fact

This election is one of the most historic elections ever, either electing an African American as our President, or having a woman as VP for the first time.

my opinion

If the votes had gone the other way, and McCain would have won........how many of these "elated" happy people who voted Obama in, would have started riots in their hometowns? I say quite a few......hell people start riots when their teams dont win their championships........what would have happend if the first African American would have lost the election?....CHAOS

Fact

All of the major newspaper's......The Chicago Tribune, NY Times, USA Today etc......that ran the front page story are becoming quite the keepsake, or cash cow, selling on ebay, anywhere from $20 up to $1000

my opinion

Its cool to be a part of history, and have a souvenere of the historic event..........but to buy up a news rack's quantity, and put it on ebay for obsurd amouts of money is fucking ridiculous to me.

Thats about all I'm going to say about that for now, dont want to start a huge political debate over people and their opinions. So if it turned out the way you wanted, congrats for you, if it didn't, well, get over it, no use bitching about it.

Just sit back, and watch the positive changes, or the chaotic unfoldings........either way, I think were in for a hell of a ride

Gamefly question

When you put games on your queue, how the hell do they decide what to send? Looking at my list there are low availabilties for Dead Space, Fable 2, and Fall Out 3, high availability for Mercenaries 2, and Facebreaker, next on my list was Condemed 2, and its available, and last on my list was Star Wars Lego TCS.........and they send the Star Wars game.....question is, if I shorten my queue, will they send the high available games, or if I choose a low, will I have to wait until one gets free?
