Roll Tide

Well, tonight was Alabama's first test against a great SCC team and the game delivered every bit of excitment we could hope for...

Roll Tide.

btw, Auburn, I know how it feels to lose to Mississippi State.  The only difference is I'm not going to be a dick about and remind you the entire ear that you lost to Mississippi State much like most of my friends who were Auburn fans.  Woot.  That was just awful.  Loosing to Mississippi State like that.  But I won't stoop to that level by reminding you that you lose to Mississippi State today.

Better luck next year.

Timmies...

Timmies on XBL are annoying, but in real life, omfg I want to break some people.

I took my wife and her sister out last night to watch "Chuck and Larry" at the theater.  It was a really funny movie and we had a good time, but just as it ended and the credits started to scroll, someone threw a bucket of popcorn and it landed in my lap.  WTF?!  I stood up and looked around and no one was running away so I yelled in the theater, "Who threw this?!"  Nothing.  "Who's the chickenshit who threw this bucket?!"  I was ready to hit a kid.

It surprises me that no one wanted to rat the kids out who did this.  My wife pulled me out of the theater, but it's really times like this that I wish I still played rugby.  At least then I'd have an outlet.  So I was pissed the rest of the night.  Great.

Thanks Timmy.

btw, tomorrow is my one year anniversary being married to Courtney.  hmmm...  Dinner plans tonight

Oh xbox 360, why must you...

So my original 360 was almost 1 year old when the DVD drive died playing crackdown.  I could hear it grinding away trying to read but it was useless.  Being just a few weeks away from the Halo 3 Beta, I used my BestBuy warranty and got a new box, but it's born on date was July, 2006.  I was a bit worried because this was 10 months earlier and I had little to no trust in a machine that had been sitting for so long.  But I bought one anyways (because I coudln't find an Elite).

So I played H3 a few times, H2 a couple but really, in the past two months, all I've done w/ my box really is watch HD movies from Netflix.  So yesterday, I bought Call of Duty 2 and within the first minute it was in my machine, it froze.  I rebooted, restarted and within five minutes it froze again.  I rebooted and restarted and played for about 2 hours without any problem.  I took a break, spent time w/ my wife and then came back to continue my gaming experience and it froze a few minutes into the campaign.  Frusterated, I restared cursing the buggy software for all the lockups as it continued to freeze until I saw the red ring of death.  DAMN IT.

18004MYXBOX.

After being on hold for about 20 minutes, I finally got a support person who sounded 16, the chatter in the background was asian, and I just crossed my fingers.  It was great.  The guy took my serial number and as he told me my xbox was in warranty, me made it sound like I won a million dollars.  I wanted to reach through the phone and tell him to hurry this up and give me my RMA # politely.

Anyways, coffin should be here in a week.  Let's see how this goes.

Roll Tide...

Roll Tide Roll...  It's that time of year when alabama splits into two camps; Alabama or Auburn.  In all the other 49 states, it's Ohio vs Michigan, but in Alabama, the only thing that matters is the Iron Bowl.

Woot woot.

Zune's coming out party...

You can learn more about the Zune music player at http://www.zune.net. Zune's PR really seems to be marketing at the 'feeling' of music around the 14-28 year old market but trust me, when you have it in your hands and you're around other users, it's a very fun experience.

I'm really jazzed about the wireless xbox integration. I listen to my iPod on my xbox all the time so its something that I'll look forward too...

Oh, as a bonus, there is a Zune theme for Windows XP that makes it brown which actually looks great this time of year with a bright green leafy background.
