busy month

well so far this month has been a little crazy. the first week i was on vacation. i already need another one. the second week found me in Boston at TechEd. for those eho dont know TechEd is a Microsoft conference that is held every year in June. ther is lots of training and vendors giving away stuff and it is a pretty good time. it is generally a giant gathering of geeks but still a good time. i learned some cool new stuff and made off with a shitload of freebies/ now this week i am in the office for the first time this month. you can imagine how far out of the loop i am. and way behind too. so now is the time when all hell breaks loose and our main systems start to go nuts. i have spent all week trying to put out fires and get things fixed. applying patches like crazy. i have had to work late the last 2 nights and things are finally starting to calm down. i already have something scheduled i have to do on Sunday afternoon.

on a personal and much better side, we have had our house for sale since the first of April and it looks like we may get to sell it soon. finally! we have found a new townhouse and we are going to be moving next weekend. i am taking friday off work so i can load the big truck and get moved. i hope my DSL gets hooked up at the new place in time for me toi make the friday night fragfest with the clan. 

so between the vacation and the conference and the job and the house and the moving and of course the family, its been a little bust in my small corner of the world. yesterday was really the first time this month i could spend some time here at 2o2p. man was i behind in the posts. still trying to catch up

thats enough rambling. you all got games to play.

and if any of you know baracuda, tell him to stop with the avatars for awhile. everytime he changes corporat america grinds to a halt for the afternoon be cause all of us old guys are too busy staring at his avatar.

been awhile

i havnt posted in a while. mainly because i am on vacation. which means i gave the world a reciept to kiss my ass for a week

with the exception of everybody at 2o2p of course. so lets see, whats been going on? my wife and i had our annivrrsary on saturday. 11 years now.  I got my mom to take the boys for a couple of hours and we did something we havnt done in a long time. we went to dinner and got to have a grown up conversation. yea!  Saturday was also my oldest boys first t-ball game. it was a lot  of fun. and i get to be coach too. ive always wanted to do that. i think i am haveing as much fun as the kids are.  since then its just been vacation. too broke to go anywhere so i am using this week to just hang out with fam. been enjoying that too.

Sunday i leave for TechEd in Boston for a week. that will be great fun for me but my 5 year old isnt too happy about it. he dosnt like the idea of daddy being gone for a whole week. hell been fine when i come back with new toys for him tho. thats all i got. nothing to exciting but hey, im on vacation.

Its Tuesday

I hate tuesdays. hate em. everything freakin breaks on tuesdays. everything. I went on call Friday night for my week. everything went fine for the weekend. no calls all weekend. until F-ing Tuesday! i got called at 2:46AM, 6:40AM and 7:30am. each call was because a server went down and the damn helpdesk is too stupid to tell the guy on site to just turn the damn thing back on. the one good thing that has happened today was lunch. i got to go home and see my wife and boys. the whole morning was shit. this afternoon i get to have a meeting. oh boy. so im sure the afternoon will be shit too. oh,well. i may have to get online tonight and see if i can shoot Unwashed Mass in the head. that usually helps me feel better.

other than that, im doin good. if i can make it thru this week i go on vacation for a week then to TechEd for a week. 2 whole weeks without coming to the office. thank god for that. plus the attendee party for teched this year is a concert and party at Fenway park. pretty cool if your a baseball fan. which i am. the band they got playing is called Train. never heard of em myself. if you have let me know what you think of them. im going to the park for the food and the tour and the food and the green monster. and the food. all you can eat ball park food. FREE. yeehaw. wel, im at work and should probably do something to look busy.

I love this place

so yesterday was a bad day at work. too damn many stupid people want me to fix there problems and do their job for them. Fat bastards. then i get home and find we have to go buy groceries at Wal-Mart. oh goodie. then the kids behave like...well,kids. so by the time i get home i am seriously pissed and need to blow something up. so i finally get to get on XBL after 10 and find nothing but a bunch of damn timmies. oh well. i resign myself to putting up with that crap when i get an invite from a clan mate(thanks corkee). so i jump into the game he is playing and see all of these gamertags i recognize from the site. lbsutke (who seemed to take great joy in pwning my ass), syschaos(its purple!!) and several others. this was the first time i had been online with so many people from the site that were not in my clan. i keep seeing others put up posts about how the friends needs to hold more than 100 and how they keep having to clean theres up to get more people in and i look at my list and it has 8. thats it just 8. and 7 of those are clan mates. after last night i am begining to see how you can have so many on the list. i guess i need to start sending out more FRs. send me one too if you need another target in Halo. because i learned another valuble lesson last night in Halo 2, I suck.

first blog ever

Ok. Im new at this but here goes. just thought i would put alittle bit about myself here to try to get me started. Im 32 and have been married for 11 years. we have 2 boys ages 5 and 3. I also have one old dog, she is a 12 year old Lab Chow mix you got dumped on my front lawn when she was about 4 weeks old. it was during a sleet storm on Super Bowl sunday so i couldnt leave her. and shes still here. She is also about the only thing i have left that i have had longer than i have been maried. Oh well.

I work as a Windows server systems administrtor for a small nationwide company. my wie works from home so the boys can stay with her. means no day care costs. Yea!  if you have any technical questions about servers or pcs i can try to answer them for you. i have been doing this for over 7 years now.

i still got to get the hang of this blog thing and figure out how to get pics up and find a good avatar but, all things in time.
