In for the yearly check-up.

Yea, not exactly on the dot to the year, but RL is a bitch that way and I'm gonna go ahead and play some catch-up (mmmkay?)

Going through my only prior two blog posts (take that, blog whores), I'm seeing that I've become what I was crusading against.  WoW's evil hooks have dug in hard, and I have not shot anyone in OG 2o2p in the face in quite some time.  Some of the old folks are starting to kick loose from the woodwork - they must have caught the scent of H3 in the air.  Good - there's a few of you who need a good killin' (I'm talking to you Kung Fu, you TK'ing prick).  Smooth, try not to charge the wraith solo this time and you won't fuck up your KApD so bad, cause TMAN will make you pay everytime.   School is starting to lighten up, so I promise to remedy that not face-shooting thing.   That goes out to you Profanity bitches too, and from me to you, you all can collectively Suck It.  Especially Drost. Overchoad.

Site at a glance, year-to-date:  Major look overhaul, clan mergers and aquistions, division and growth....amidst all this crap someone in their infitinte knowledge made me a mod and I get to be one of the lucky few to referee it.  Thanks a pantload, MJ.  Funny, for as much good and bad that you can expect by jamming near 10k people together, it isn't really work - seeing this place run smoothly is a pretty big victory by itself and I'm never short for playmates, so I guess it's kind of self-serving.  Whateverthecrap.  Be excelllent to each other so I can cut back on my advil purchases.

Rundown Revisted 2.9.06

Not a big blogger, but ran across an old post I wanted to share...

The continuing adventures of TaxiSquad...

Days 1-3: Mike James shoots over a message via PM on Bungie site, "Hey, got a bunch of older guys in a clan who play, why not hop aboard?" (Or something to that extent). Old guys? Yea what the hell. Can't be any worse than the 14 year old who just roasted me, teabagged me, then told me to "grab a taxi to the Halo school, cause you suck you n00b!!!." Awesome.

Quick walk down registration alley and POOF! Brand spanking new clan name after my gamertag, and 100 new names to boot. Now this whole 'clan' thing is new to me, but it's a pleasure to find any one of four games to hop in (after tourneys are over, of course). The next 72 hours becomes a blur of Halo activity, ranging from CTF, low man oddball, some wild west pistols, and something about somebody throwing a sticky at someone else's wife (who then proceeded to play Annie Oakley and popped a few mellons with her sniper rifle). Now THAT'S what I call quality.

Things I've learned to date:

- I have not had the pleasure of having Doodi on my team yet. As of now, I've been a very successfull bullet/nade/rocket catcher for him. Therefore, I hate him and every fiber of his being. For now.

- The nagging voice in the back of my head saying "Hey dipshit - you have a GMAT in 12 days. WTF are you doing playing Halo?!?" can easily be pushed aside by a successful game of TS, complete with 10 headshots.

- TriHunter lies. Plain and simple. "I suck, I used to suck more, blah blah."

- I have zero ability to strategize beyond "Kill the guy with the ball/flag/skull" or "defend our guy carrying the ball/flag/skull". As an attack dog, I'm content in my role.

After almost a year worth of online community gooeyness, I felt the need to edit and update:

1 - Moving, shitty circumstances, quitting dip, whichever - truth of the matter is that Mike James doesn't play enough Halo anymore. That not only blows elephants, but fondles the balls as well. TRIHunter, Todd the Barber, even the elusive DS Smooth also fall into this category. Come back and play so I can stop making elephant oral sex jokes.

2 - I no longer hate Doodi. Or his fiber. However, I still hate catching his sniper rounds with my face. Bluestar, you're here too.

Replace "GMAT in 12 days" with "Econ midterm". Different terms, same results. I still don't pay nearly enough attention to work because of this game and you asstards.

4 - Someone told me the other day that I can pick up the bomb/flag thingie by holding 'x' over it. I'm yet to try that move out.

Summarizing, Growth=good. In a little under a year, there's been a lot of branching outside of clan and across different games, all with very pleasant results. Also, site chat may very well get me fired but I don't give a shit. Special thanks to all you chat whores. Dood, D, good work all around. Thanks.
