It finally Happened

Well I was back in store after the remodel for a week, then I was to help out a store that needed help with there BOH  (Back of House) ie store room since all stores where changing to the new system they needed someone to help out, and not to mention that this did not have a ASM or that many supervisors too boot.

Remember the talk about the promotion, this is the store that I would be going to, but I still had to wait to see if any other people were going to take the offer or just leave it. After the first couple days in the BOH we had a team of store managers that were trained in BOH, there job was to go around to stores to make sure that were doing it all correctly, so inhense we were given a grade,  we recieved a 62 out of 100  not bad since we really had not started on anything, not untill the following Sat night.

We had a job to get done in a week, since they would be back in 4 days to had out a second score card, All product had to be scanned out, racks had to be moved, and cleaned, then all put back in the new order, we are talking about 6  90' runs x 4 ' x 10'   kinda like the metal racks you see in lowes. There was 5 of us doing all kinds of different projects at the same time, getting ready for the next visit. The BOH was looking great not to mention the gaining of cube for product, the new way was about 3,000 not to bad since fall is coming around the corner and 4th quarter.

Well the BOH team finally did their vist at we recived a 84 now that was huge increase. We had only 3 days left to finish the BOH for the final score card which is being done today, I am sure we pass and recieve our certification.

Well all good things come to wait, I was finally offered the job as ASM of the store, the position will start effective this Sunday, after a week in the store I will go off to another  store for 5 weeks of training....LOL I guess this will go good with my 20 years of it....and even though I have been with the company for 2 years, you still have to take the training, its all good, it will go pretty quick since I pretty much now most of any way.

So after the 5 weeks It will be at the near of Aug, my daughters Birthday, getting ready for school, and to mention we will be moving the be closer to the store, I not going to be drive 2 hrs up and back every day, we will just rent out our home here and find something up there.

I look forward to this new part of my life, and venture I will be taking with the company within 2 years I should have own store can you say WOOT!!!

The remodel is over

WEll its finally over, yes I am talking about the remodel I was doing since Jan 28th,  Well my last day was on the 5th the day before the grand openning, I did not go the grand openning, since I worked 16 hrs the day before to make sure everything was ready, and to talk to all the VIPS coming the next day,

I was told the openning went really well, and that I reciveved specials thanks from all the higher ups, I really enjoyed my time up there and made alot of friends from that store, shit alot of them of gamers big time, out of the 5 people that stayed at the hotel 4 of them had there x boxes cranked and running. Me either I was tring to get to play some WOW or paper work, I  thought I was going to be able to play alot more, but after 10 hr days and 5 am. that never seemed to happen as much as i liked,

Well as far as the promotion goes,LOL I am still waiting on it,  there is just alot more involved that has happened in the last 2 weeks in copr i guess. I think they have to many people that are what they call on the bench, and not really assigned to a store, so they will get asked first then  if no one takes it, I will get the store, I am thinking its going to be mine, looks like I have some pull now, and all the people cheering me on, besides i really dont see to many people moving there asses to this spot,lol. So I am going to keep my fingers cross,  I go back to my store on Friday the 13th  LOL  that just kills me,,,,,,,so who knows what will be instore for me there, maybe cake  I like cake,

Well this week I took some time of to be with family and get some long over due chores done, the house is almost  done painted all that is left the trim on one side of the house and shit is like 40 ft off the ground,  kinda sucks with a paint brush  lol.....I set the pool up since my daughter was cring about 100 heat, not to mention her arm is still broke.  Now I am getting to put a fence and enclose the yard......

But I am getting ready to make so time for WOW...I do miss all the drama you know.....lol

Remodel Update

Well shit, here are another month has gone by again,, yeap have been here at this remodel since Jan 28...LOL  and to think its all about to come to an end in two weeks.

Yes two weeks then everything will be done, I have to say thank god,  this has been a very awesome job to have,  getting the change to a project coordinator and to see a remodel from the ground up,   working withe  GC (general contractor)  leaning how to read all the store plans, F1's M1's  E's and M's  and then knowing when somethings are amist and need to be fixed.

This coming week is our soft openning, and then first week of june is our grand openning.....and yet there still alot to do,  the punch lists and the fine tunning, to make things look great, not to mention that the CEO, VP, RVP, RRVP and so many other people from the home office will be here in the next few weeks, then its our time to shine, I feel that we have done a out standing job, and to think most of this project has been done with little or no over time!!!!!!!!!!  thats right....(thats also one of my jobs too)  so we are doing great on that......compared to the other stores last year they had about 12,000 project hours, we had only 8,0000......so yeah i am proud of my team and all the people that are working there.

Well like I said before I might get a promotion out of this, looks like this could be very true, I had a interview last week with Regional HR  and it went very well, this week I will be seeing my DM for the final say....

So all in all I still enjoying life, I was able to play a little WOW the other day, but the hotel has been having some problems with there wifi...go figure......So in time I am hoping to get back into the gaming mode...

Another week

Well here we go again, week 11 starts, and this week is going to be busy as shit. New register tandums have to be set and regiseters have be install,,gues who get this job...yeah me and 1 other other person, need to have this done within 2 days, if I want to stay on track of things, it can be done most of the items are right where i put them on friday, that was the fun day 6 semi truck from of lozzier and wood fixtures and only me and one other person to unload......So if we can that in 6 hours I think we can do this. In two.

Once this part of the store is done and the new offices are done things will start to fly, before we know it the remodel will be done, and then I will know what I will be doing next. Thats the hard part is waiting I hope I will find out before then end, because if I am moving to a new area I would like to start making plans,I have a house dont want to sell but rent it out and i will make a killing on it...but If we dont move I want to start working on the outside of the house....shit so much to do but just have to wait.

I am hoping this week I will be able to have some log time WOW, have been playing with my peeps for along time, I miss the guys,,,,,of heleter skelter Wytex, Bliz,Doodi,Dan,Fade,physco,tye,smoke,rippy,gui,ken and the list goes on........I miss the game but time is not around, when i do get a change its not eneough to run anything, which sucks.......I should be able to run a little this week......we shall see....

End of week 10

Well I have lived another week, and I must say it was a good week, store looking awesome and starting to look like a store, and not just a place with stuff everywhere and tile ripped up. Now today was a good day just for the fact that the VP of the region was here, The temp manager and DM were at regional meetings and then the phone call, texting starts...

"you guys need to have you game on, make it look good (as good as you can for a remodel)......must of been 10 calls in 5 mins, it just kills me.. he is only the VP.....just another guy who understands what a remodel is, and wants to see if you are still doing the day to day basics customer service...and yeah we are...He was very pleased with the visit and thats a good thing, and to think he was not going to make it because of traffic....but showed up anyway....and had a great visit.....Sometimes I just love my job.....

Hard work from everyone really pays off.......
