New sketch

Well it's been about 90 days since I've picked up my pencils.  Soooo, I'm trying to shake off the rust, and thought I would post my progress here.  Since I've been playing left for dead quite a bit, I think my next series of pics are going to be zombie related.

I'm really going to make a concerted effort to spend a couple hours each day to practive....

Baby doctor's appt.

My wife had an ultrasound yesterday, and I got to tag along for this one.   We have a healthy baby girl on the way!  I am soo estatic, and relieved that we've been given the 'all-clear'.  Miss Hope Elizabeth Peterson will make her debut next April sometime.

Also, I'm participating in the art auction to help raise money for the site re-vamp.  I'm contributing a sketch of Batman and Daredevil.  Check out Batmankm's blog for more details.

Laid off

So, my pregnant wife got laid off today.  So did a bunch of other people that work at her company.  The scary thing is she was the one that had the benefits.

Ultrasound

My Wife had her first Ultrasound yesterday.  The doctor said everything looks just great!  The baby was flipping around, kicking it's legs, and at one point, even got the hiccups.   What an amazing experience.  Looking at those pictures really drives it home for me... I'm going to be a DAD!  In a few more weeks, Michelle will go back and have some testing done to test for genetic issues, but we're confident all is going to be ok.  Still too early to tell if we're going to have a boy or a gir, and I really don't care either way. 

 

Oh, and Death Magnetic ROCKS.

baby news and some metal.

So to elaborate on my earlier blog, My wife and I are going to have a baby.  We've debated on this subject for quite some time, and decided to just 'go for it'.  We're a little past the 'normal' baby-having age range -I'm 37, she's 40..

We prayed on it and asked if it was only God's will, to grant us a child.  Three weeks later BOOM! Preggars.  This was after tyring previously for around 4 months or so.  I'm nervous, happy, scared, and thrilled all at the same time! My wife goes to the Doctor's on 9/15 to check for a heartbeat, and to see if all is well. 

Names have been decided upon already.  If' we have a boy the name is going to be Mason Andrew Peterson, and if it's a girl Hope Elizabeth Peterson. 

I will be sure to post the results from the Doctor's appt. when we know.
