Sunday Already

Well, this weekend is almost toast ;; It sucks that it goes by waaay too fast. ;; Had ;; a nice relaxing weekend though, played around with the New Oblivion DLC, and hung out with friends. ;; ;; The really cool happening was being the first to find out that some close friends of ours may be expecting their first child! ;;

Summer is here with a vegence! ;; Its been in the early to mid 90s every day, perfect pool weather! ;; Hopefully well dodge the red tide that plagued our coast last year and prevented us from getting to the beach too much.

Our puppy is growing fast and is nearing 15 weeks! ;; She started puppy class last week. ;; This is going to give me a few pointers on how to get through to her and facilitate her training, and socialization. ;; ;; She is pretty much house broken, and is just about the cutest thing Ive ever seen. ;;

Thats about all for now. ;; Oh Yeah, heres a quick sketch of Raphael from Ninja turtle fame. ;; The first was done with an airbrush tool, and came out kind of crappy the second straight up coloring in photoshop.   Also dumped in a quick pick of Iceman:

Random Doodles

Hey all,

Figured I would jump on the posting artwork bandwagon.  Below are a couple rough doodles Ive done digitally.  Still trying to get the hang of drawing on one surface, and seeing it appear on another.  There are just too many tools to play with that Im really just experimenting now, and trying to get the hang.  If any of our more accomplished artists have any pointers, I would be glad to hear from ya!

Gearing up for another storm season

Well its summer in Florida and you know what that means? Hurricane Season wheeeeee.....  Actually weve been very fortunate in Bradenton; havent had one storm hit us yet.  There is already a tropical depression forming however, and may get our way next week.  All the meteologists are saying that it shouldnt amount to much, but I really dont pay a whole lot of attention to them as they seem to be about as accurate with their predictions as I am at not hitting the rim when pissing in the middle of the night.

Finally had my yearly eval at work (30+ days past due) I received my yearly increase..if you want to call it that.  It really pisses me off that we have employees that make probably close to 100k/year and do little else but talk on the phone, email people, and take 3 hour lunches.  Yes, Im talking about my boss.  We are so slammed and understaffed (Home health care company in Florida), and our boss who is nick-named waste-of -flesh by a few peeps here, attempts to help out, but always has to leave for a lunch meeting or has some other lame ass excuse as to why she just couldnt help us out.  I actually heard her talking to an employee and said "I dont know where the day went, I just feel like Im spinning my wheels and getting nothing done".  Thats because you took a three hour lunch you dumb trollop, and then sat in your office talking to the senior account manager for two hours while he tried to find new and creative ways to shove his nose up your ass!  Oh well, I suppose I should be thankful to have a job, its just hard to sit back and watch.  Last week we had a person come down from our corportate office to assess the situation and to help us tweak our processes.  You see, Ive been doing HR, and trying to run the clerical functions of the office.  If it wasnt for SUpimp stepping up and helping me out, Id be fucked.  So the visit went very well,and he made a ton of good suggestions on how to expedite the paperwork.  Pimp actually overheard him on the phone with some other corporate entity stating: "she doesnt do anything all day, how could she"?!  I believe he was talking about my boss, WOF (waste of flesh).  I say this because on Monday when he first arrived, my boss could not answer one question from him without asking me or another staff member for the answer.  As I said earlier I think she got chewed out by the higher ups, as she plans on coming in on Monday on her scheduled day off to come help us get payroll caught up for a few hours.  She would NEVER volunteer to come in on a day off to help.  So maybe this will light a fire under her ass and make her realize she isnt as untouchable as she thought.

Anyways, enough of that tripe. 

My stepbrother is coming to visit for the day.  I have not seen this dude in over 10 years.  Im pretty pumped as he is a cool shit thats into drinkin beers, and  playing games.  I dont know if he has played the 360 yet, so Im going to show him that.  Also, were going to rent some wave runners this afternoon and tool around some small barrrier islands here.  Should be a lot of fun and am looking forward to it.  Well its almost 7:00am here; had to get up early to let the puppy out and get her some breakfast.  So, Im going to play some COD2.  I rented this yesterday and found out to unlock achievements you have to play at the veteran level.  Needless to say its taken me almost a whole day to get through the first two levels.  Lots of fun, put very hard at times.

Its almost here!

Memorial weekend that is!

I came back from vacation this week feeling pretty refreshed, and ready to go.  When I walked into my office I was astonished to find it clean! Half of it was once occupied by broken pcs, backups, and clinical equipment. Weve been so busy I havent had time to get the shit sent back. After I found out my boss had taken it upon herself to get it done, I was blown away. That, coupled with the firing of a co-worker who had been a constant source of frustration for the office, has made my return from vacation a pleasant one. The office morale has undergone a total 360 and feels like it once did, relaxed and fun. Dont get me wrong, were busy as hell, (I work as an office manager for a home health company in Florida) but it is much more tolerable.

Now we have a great three day weekend to look forward too! Mine is pretty booked. Friday night SUpimp and his gal are coming over to sit by the pool and watch the sunset out on the river, and partake of alcoholic beverages. Saturday, Im going to go see X-men United, and later that evening, celebrate my Step-Daughters Birthday. On Sunday were going to a pool party/BBQ, and finally on Monday were going to SLEEP!

First 2old2play encounter!

Yesterday SUpimp and I (we live close by and work for the same comany) met DeathMark at SUs.  Deathmark had sent us PMs stating he would be in the Sarasota area with his Fam and wanted to know if we could hook up and hang out.  After work I went over SUs and had a beer or two.  Discussions started as to how this would go as neither one of us had ever met another 2o2per face-to-face prior to this.  We didnt have to wait long as we noticed a mini-van pulling in, and it was on!

It was uncanny how there was never any moment of being uncomfortable whatsoever!   You know the feeling, when talking stops and everyone is just kind of sitting there.  We sat outside on the deck and had a couple drinks and chatted about everything from music, to Sus upcoming nuptiuals, to the crazy real estate market here in FL and etc....  Of course the conversation drifted to the 360, and it was a riot listening to the women folk commiserate sharing their stories of their men and the box.   Its too bad that SU only had one controller or else it wouldve really gotten ugly!   

Meeting people that youve gamed with and only known through electronic means is a very unique experience, and I am looking forward to meeting more of you in the future.
