Half Baked!

Apparently I didnt use as much sun screen as I should, as I pretty much cooked my back leaving me looking half baked. ;; The ocean was pretty choppy today for the Gulf Coast; ;; I even took my parents to a place that is kind of like a cove, but the waves were still pretty big. ;; Did a lot of body surfing, and then soaked up the sun while reading my latest OXM. ;;
;;At one point my stepfather leans over to me and says: The only thing that sucks about going to the beach during the week is that all the good looking women are at work". ;; I told him this was true as my wife had to work today. ;; My mom overheard this conversation and called me a smart man for the answer I gave.

During the course of the day I found out that my stepbrother, whom I havent seen in years is going to be at my folks place visiting in June. ;; So, I hope to take a couple days off next month as well and hit Universal Studios for a day with him. ;; My step sister may be down as well on vacation. ;; She got home from Iraq in December working as an interpeter to the Pentagon. ;; We joke and call her Sydney from the show The Alias. ;; She speaks a lot of languages, like seven I think as well as some of the Triabal Dialects in the Middle East. ;; Were glad shes back in one piece and I cant wait to hear some of her stories. ;; The last time I talked with her I told her as office manager of where I work, I had to make a split decision on whether or not to order 3 cases of copy paper, or 4 before I went on vacation BOOYAH IN YOUR FACE! ;; Then she makes a bunch of clicking and whistling noises which I suspect is some crude form of cursing she picked up from another country.

So now Im home with a fresh sixer of Key West Sunset Ale Chillin in the fridge and an Xbox 360 waiting to be played, and Im running off at the mouth here. ;; Anyways my back is sizzling so Im going to grab the bottle of Aloe Gel out of the fridge, as well as a cold brewski and fire up the ole gal....and then maybe play some 360. J/K!

Beach Day

Yesterday was spent cleaning the apartment  (major points from the wife), and visiting with my folks.  Ive decided Im going to give my mom my old Xbox.  I think its funny how she used to say that gaming was a waste of time, now shes turned into quite the gamer.  I gave her a brief tutorial on the 360 and thought all the features, in particular Xbox Live Arcade were very interesting and clever.  Then I loaded up Oblivion and all I heard was "whoa" (had to look to make sure I wasnt standing next to Joey from Blossom or Keanu Reeves)

 She asked if there were many fun games she would be able to play.  Shes pretty much a point-and-click, and platformer gamer.  Anyone know of any games like this for Xbox?  As I dont play  or pay attention to many of these types of games, I thought I would elicit some feed back from yall for this.

Everyone here is starting to wake up (7:15am) what the hell am I doing up this early on vacation?!  My puppy has found me and thats it, no more sleep for me.  At 10 weeks old, shes already starting to pin our cat, who is a Maine Coon Cat, and easily weights 15lbs or so.  LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!

My folks and I are going to hit the beach today and get some sun.  Hopefully the water has warmed enough to make it comfortable.  All I know is that Im taking them to a section that has a beach side restaurant with an outdoor bar.  MMMMMM Rum Runners all afternoon!  Sitting on the beach with a good book and the calm sounds of beach..doesnt get much better than that.  I have a feeling Im going to need to be totally recharged when I wade into the shit at work again come Monday.

Hoping some of my clanmates will be on tonight for a little GRAW action this evening!

Vacation Day 2.

The dogs are sleeping which is nice, especially the pup.  Its the only time I can get in some gaming without having to make a pee inspection every 20 minutes or so.

Its raining today.  Friggin figures.  You take a vacation and it rains for the first time in months.  Oh well, I guess I wont feel so bad being glued to the 360   Ive been working a few rentals to see if I cant boost my gamer score.  Yah, I know huge aspirations.  Between the Outfit, Condemned, and Quake 4, Im hoping to move past SuPimp (we have this running challenge to see who can get the higher gamer score).   I know hes at work now, probably trolling the boards instead of training his replacement, so watch that score and weep baby!

I threw in an hours worth of studying today (going for a business management degree) so I wont feel like a total slacker.

Watched the presidents address concerning the immigration issue last night.  He kept saying how its important for migrant workers to be here to do the jobs that others wont.  Whatever happened to forcing the people that are on welfare to get off their asses and take those jobs?  Just my .02 Put down your government surplus cheese sandwich and get a damn job!  Please dear God do not let Jeb Bush ever get into the Whitehouse.

Ahhh...Vacation

For the last couple of months Ive been training three employees while managing Human Resources and prior to HR, billing. Our business has doubled and now were trying to play catch up in-office with the hiring of more support staff. So, this week I am on vacation.
What plans do I have you say? NONE! All I wish to do is relax, play some games, lay out by the pool, and drink some good beer.

The only real task I have is furthering the bladder control skill in my ten-week old British Bulldog Puppy. Like a shark, she likes to check things out by biting. ;; Whether its your toes, a shoe, the other dogs tail, furniture legs, EVERYTHING but her toys. ;; However despite all the "no, no, no, no....NO"! I do, shes a great pup, and will turn into a fine dog. Ive got a puppy class scheduled in June and am hoping to pick up some good pointers there.
